Chapter 17

Nandini's pov

Tell me why our last final was 2 days before Christmas like who the hell does that, I mean I am convinced that the exam scheduler hates Christmas but Manik says otherwise. it's horrible because Christmas is tomorrow and we don't have a tree, no presents, no cookies for Santa, nothing

I woke up an hour ago and I have jeans and manik's hoodie on me over a cropped black tee. I put on my sneakers and lock my door walking to Manik's house. I don't bother knocking because it was only 9 in the morning so I used my keys that he got made for me

Yes, we have gotten very serious with each other and honestly I am ready to tell him that I am okay with labels and I want to be his girlfriend like officially.

Opening the door I tip toe to manik's room to see the most beautiful site, he was sleeping on his stomach  holding onto a pillow, his back covered with blankets. I sit beside him running my hands on his back moving the blanket, I place a soft kiss on his head before I take a quick picture of him.

"Nooo stay please" he whispers when I move my hand away

"You are awake?" I ask

"No, I woke up when you came in"

"Its early, go to sleep" I whisper

He hums wrapping his arm around me placing his palm on my thigh caressing gently. Whne he falls back a sleep, I slips away leaving a note for him that I made him some fresh orange juice thats in the fridge.

I walk to the grocery store which was 15 minutes away to grab some Christmas essentials, though it doesn't get too cold in mumbai, the cold breeze was actually very nice and chilly.

I also got some presents for everyone, and some decor as well because I wanted to. I got back home aorund 11 and started putting decor up in my room, I then take the other stuff to manik and cabin's house.

"Babe" I hear manik making me smile

"Yeah" I reply getting on top of the couch to put some lights up

"What in the god's name are you doing? Jeez you'll fall baby" I could hear the panic in his voice

"Shh relax, I wanna put some lights up here" I say

"I can do it, come down now"

"Im not going to fall Romeo, just relax will you" I whisper concentrating

"No, stop trying to give me a heart attack so early on in my teenage years and get down now" I laugh a little and that was a bad idea becasue I lost my footing falling

When I didn't hear any loud noises I open my eyes to see his beautiful hazel brown ones filled with anger.

"Why don't you fucking listen to me? you could have gotten hurt Nandini" he scolds placing me on the couch

"But im fine"

"This isn't funny Nandini" he says

"Im fine silly human, shh come sit with me. I will show you my plans" I say putting the lights down

He groans a bit, something he does when he is trying not to be angry at me, I do make him angry a lot which I mean thats good right?

"Nandini sweetheart, you can't do such things and be so irresponsible. If I wasn't home and you were doing this, you could have seriously gotten injured. Why do you have to put yourself at risk?"

"Mani im fine, come on don't be upset"

"Bullshit, im more than upset, Nandini. Come on babe you can't be so irresponsible towards yourself. You know damn well you wouldn't let me put myself at risk yet you continue to do so with yourself" I sigh hearing him
