Manik's pov

As I walk off the plane the cold breeze hits me in the face making me smile, somehow ever since I met Nandini, mumbai smells like her and not just mumbai.

Mumbai for me prior was a city I live in but Mumbai now is love, nandini, my nandini, my life.

i walk through the little hallway and my eyes search for nandini as I walk down a bit, a smile forms on my lips seeing her grinning as she spots me. She was holding two coffee's, the keys and a card

She runs into my arms as soon as I get close enough, I drop my bags wrapping my arms around her kissing her shoulder.

"Hi baby" I whisper

"Hiii mani, I missed you" she giggles when I bite her shoulder playfully

"I missed you so much more sweet girl" I place her on her feet and she grins wider than before

"You are so beautiful silly girl" I whisper kissing her lips

"Hehe you are handsome as ever but you didn't trim" she says holding my face

"I was a bit busy" I say

"I know, here I got you an iced white mocha" she says forwarding the cup to me

"Thanks love" I kiss her forehead pulling her in another hug

"You can't go again" she mumbles against my chest

"I won't, not without you" she nods

"Come on lets go home" I say grabbing my bags

She nods walking with me, she opens the trunk and then I get in the drivers seat almost chucking at how forward the seat actually was from her sitting there.

"Don't laugh okay, your car is just too tall and the car seat was all the way back" she complains

"Im 6'2 baby, of course it's all the way back" I laugh

"I got you something" she says giving me the card

'I love you Romeo' the front of the card displays making me smile

I open the card and a beautiful smile forms on my lips getting wider, gosh she is perfect

'These 5 days were so bad without you, thought your sheets and clothes had your scent but I missed you so much. Life isn't all happy and rainbows without you, it's a little boring and horrific actually. Thouhg I missed sleeping peacefully with you, laying with you, watching tv, I think I missed messing with you the most. I love you romoe, I love you so much - from your Juliet' the card read

I look up at her to see her biting her nails nervously. I placed the card on the dashboard and grabbed her chin turning her head to me

"You are perfect" I whisper before placing my lips on hers

Her hands move to my face as I pull her to me kissing her with all I had. She moves her lips with mine moaning when I bit her lips pulling back. Resting my head against hers i held her face

"Thank you baby, this is really sweet of you" I whisper

"Your welcome, I love you"

"I love you more" I kiss her forehead pulling back

"Tell me about work and your week" I say as I start driving

I missed her rambles and driving with her, fuck man I am so in love with this girl, I am head over heals for her.

"It was boring, I was home well I was in your bed for the whole week, I drew a couple things, read mhm lets see 3 books some that were well spicy, all of them were actually. I learned how to make some strawberry cheesecake cookies and that was about it. It doesn't sound like it was a lot but it was horrible" she mumbles

"What about work baby?" I ask

hearing about work, she starts fidgeting a bit why her fingers

"Nandini"

"I didn't work" she whispers barely audible for me

"What?" I ask

"I didn't work this work, I had 2 weeks off because mhm the library is closed for Christmas and new years break" she whispers

"You said you worked every single day" I murmur looking at her

"I lied" she says cheating on her lips

"You lied to me" I ask

"I didn't want you to stay and not go to Delhi"

"Nandini I would have taken you with me, why would you lie?"

"I didn't wanna buy a ticket, I just have to send money to my dad for something so I wanted to save up" she whispers

Her head was down the whole time as she talked to me, she knows I hate lying, I would rather have the brutal truth than some petty lies

"Why didn't you tell me" I ask

"I didn't wanna make you think I didn't have money or that I didn't wanna come with you"

"Nandini you know I hate lying"

"I know but"

"Don't ever do it again" my voice was harsher than I intended it to be but regardless of the way it came out, I can't have her lying to me

Lies break relationships and I don't want us to break, I want all of her and give her all of me but that can't happen if either of us lie

She nods at my words and the rest of the ride home was silent, even when we got in the apartment it was so quiet. Nandini went to the kitchen while I put my bags in the side of the room
