Current Location: Privet DriveThe escape of the boa constrictor earned Harry his longest-ever punishment. By the time he was allowed out of his cupboard again, the summer holidays had started and Dudley had already broken his new presents and knocked down old Mrs. Figg as she crossed Privet Drive on her crutches.
Harry walked towards the front door where a pile of letters sat, having came through their letterbox. He knelt down picking the pile only to freeze as he saw that one was addressed to him. He had never received a letter in his whole life. Who would? He had no friends and no other relatives. Yet here it was, a letter addressed to him :

Little Whinging Surrey"His Hogwarts letter!" James cheered looking intensely at the image shown, "wait a second, YOU KNEW!" he blew up.
"You guys knew he was being treated badly, and didn't think to help him?" Lily calmly stated, her striking green eyes glaring at the head table, cheeks flushed from anger.
Before anything could happen, "We used self-addressing quills," McGonagall replied.
"Ah, Marge is ill! Ate a funny whelk." Vernon informed Petunia.
"Dad!" Dudley suddenly exclaimed. "Dad, Harry's got a letter." Snatching the letter from Harry's hands.
"Snitch!," Marlene exclaimed.
"And a suck-up," Remus added on.
"I know right, sounds like someone I know. Shoving their heads up their parent's arses" Sirius spoke loudly, glaring over at Regulus, who just stared coldly at Sirius.
"Hey, give it back! It's mine!" He shouted trying to reach for the letter, only for Vernon to pull it further away from him.
"Yours? Who'd be writing to you?" Vernon laughed as he looked over the seal, suddenly he looked horrified

As the days went on the letters didn't stop coming no matter how much Vernon tried. From drilling wood over the letterbox opening. Tossing the letter into the fireplace.
On Sunday morning, Vernon sat down at the breakfast table looking rather ill, but happy. "Fine day Sunday. In my opinion, the best day of the week. Why is that, Dudley?"
Dudley simply shrugs taking a biscuit from Harry who then moves to stand in front of Vernon "Because there's no post on Sunday?" He answered.
"Like we would follow the rules of muggles" Rodolphus laughed.
"Ah, right you are, Harry. No post on Sunday. Ha! No blasted letters today, No, sir. Not one single bloody letter, not one" Vernon began to rant as Harry caught sight of a shadow outside the window as he got closer he noticed hundreds of owls all outside of the house "No sir, not one blasted, miserable-" Vernon was cut off as something came whizzing down the kitchen chimney, and caught him sharply on the back of the head.
The fireplace then began to grumble until hundreds of letters began flying out all over the living room making the Dursleys shriek and Harry let out a laugh in excitement.
"AHH! Make it stop! Please make it stop!" Dudley screamed as he jumped back onto his mother's lap.
"Go away!" Vernon shouted as he tried to hit the letters away from his face.
Then, taking a risk, Harry leaped onto the coffee table in an attempt to grab hold of a few of the letters that were flying around. After he eventually caught one, he started to flee through the house, which was gradually being filled with letters.
"Give me that! Give me that letter!" Vernon shouted as he ran after Harry and grabbed him.
"Why didn't he just pick a letter up off the floor?" Lily sighs "I can't believe he got James's brain."
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" James asked. Lily chose to simply disregard the question, staring at the projection.
"Get off! Ahh!" He exclaimed as he thrashed around in Vernon's arms, trying to escape the man's clutches. "They're my letters! Let go of me!"
"That's it! We're going away! Far away! Where they can't find us!" Vernon bellowed.
"Daddy's gone mad, hasn't he?" Dudley spoke nervously as he and Petunia stood in the corner watching the commotion.
