•Colin Kaepernick•
|For Sarabi|(7stormscoming )As you were making breakfast for you heard giant footsteps come down the stairs. You weren't surprised to see your boyfriend of three years appear soon. "Good morning baby boy!" You cheered. "Morning, my queen." He smiled widely, following up with a kiss. As you two pulled away, a blush appeared on your cheeks. Colin winked causing you to giggle. "Mmm, what smells so good?" Colin whispered in your ear while wrapping his long arms around you. You smiled, gazing up at him as he caressed your sides. "Just pancakes, eggs, and I'm finishing up the bacon." You told. "Sounds amazing!" He replied kissing your temple and letting you finish the bacon. The 6'4 man sat at the table on social media waiting for you to finish the food. You prepared plates for the both of you and joined him at the table. "What are you up to?" You questioned setting down a plate of food in front of him. "Nothing.." He trailed off. "Collie, don't tell me you were looking at the media's reaction to you getting benched!" You warned. He sighed and played with his food. "Baby, who cares about them! As long as you are trying your best out on the field, that's all that mat--" You stopped in the middle of your statement to run to the nearest bathroom. Colin, baffled at first, ran after you. There you stood hovering over the toilet, emptying out everything you ate the day before. Your boyfriend held your hair and rubbed your back as you vomited. Once you were finished, Colin questioned, "Sarabi, are you okay? I've never seen you so sick before." "Yeah I'm fine. I think it was just a stomach bug." You suggested not knowing the cause of your vomit either. "What did you eat yesterday?" He interrogated, curious if he needed to seek medical help for his girlfriend. "Chinese." You answered. "Well I'm scheduling you an appointment at the doctors tomorrow." He said looking at you sternly in your eyes. "Colin, I said I'm fine!" You complained. "I said you're going, Sarabi! Don't worry I'll be there with you." Colin reported. You finally agreed and he stared at you, furrowing his eyebrows and biting his lip. Colin looked like he was trying to figure out what was wrong with his baby girl. "You look really drained, go get some rest babe." Colin informed you, giving you a small smile. You followed his orders and trudged back upstairs not wanting to sleep. Your plans of pampering him slipped away. You knew he's been down in the dumps lately. You wanted to treat him today, not vice versa.
Next morning>>
You shifted your body around in the bed, expecting to feel a hard chest against you. You felt nothing and silently whimpered. You looked on a nearby nightstand, 8:23 am, was the time. You rubbed the sleep away from your eyes as you looked at your phone. You had a text from Colin.
Collie💍❤️: Good morning baby girl. I know I said that I'll go to doctor's with you, but they called a last minute emergency meeting. I'm sorry babe, I'll make it up to you. I love you😘.You replied to him with:
Me: I was looking forward to you coming 😩. I'll be okay, love you too baby💕.You got dressed and headed out to your appointment.
"So, what seems to be the problem?" Dr. Bailey asked.
You explained why you were there to her. "Well, let's run some tests!" She smiled. She handed you a cup to pee in. You chuckled and took the cup."The test came back, Mrs. Kaepernick." The woman smiled. You blushed at the thought of being Mrs. Kaepernick. "You're pregnant. 14 weeks actually." Dr. Bailey grinned, "Congratulations!" It took you a minute to process the news. "I'm pregnant?" You whispered. "I'm pregnant!" You teared up. Fourteen weeks pregnant! You were welcoming a little one into you and Colin's life! "Thank you Dr. Bailey." You left after listening to what you needed to do to deliver a healthy baby. You drove back home with the biggest smile ever plastered on your face.
"What did the doctor say baby?" He spoke while he finished eating a sandwich. "Well!" You sat in his lap. "She said I'm pregnant!" I replied freely. I heard him choke on the last bite of his food. "You're what?!?" Colin regrouped. "Colin, we're having a baby!" You cheesed. "Shit. Umm, are you sure?" He mumbled. You were confused on whether he was happy or not. "Yes I'm sure, Colin." You said sternly. "I just don't think this is the right time for baby, Sarabi. I'm always traveling and with a baby your work is going to slow down. Plus we both don't have any experience to support a baby?" You couldn't believe what he was saying. "So what am I supposed to do Colin? We both knew what could happen when we were having sex. I thought you said you'd love to have kids." You crossed your arms above you chest. "I do! Just not right now, it's already enough distractions as it is." Colin slipped out. "Distractions... Wow." You thought. You couldn't help but tear up. You slapped him as hard as you could. "Fuck you Colin!" You cried, "Oh and by the way, you don't have to worry about more distractions being added to your tab, because you will never be apart of my child's life." With that, you packed your belongings up. You loved Colin. You knew he was the love of your life. But his remark was a complete deal breaker. You refuse to let him insult your unborn child. You immediately left his house.
Weeks Later>>
It's been three weeks since I've seen Colin. I miss him so much but I'll never forget what he said about my baby. Yes, I get babies are big responsibilities, but I expected him to at least be happy. Instead of focusing on how we're not ready to be parents, he should be focusing on how to take care of our child. As you continued to think of Colin, you couldn't help but cry, again. You didn't want your child to be brought into a broken home. As if on cue, your phone buzzed.Unknown: Can we talk?
You immediately knew who it was. It was Colin, of course. You sighed. You missed him dearly. You were going to hear him out but you're not going to just give in like that.
Me: Come by my house later...
You shuffled around the house, not bothering to clean up. You didn't know what to expect from him. All you knew is that you wanted him to regret even thinking of his comments. You just couldn't let it go. Either Colin gets it together and you both move on, or you move on without Colin. The doorbell brought you out of your thoughts. You walked to the door, looking through the peephole first. There stood the tall, mixed, quarterback you called your boyfriend. He looked miserable. His head hung low with his hands stuffed in his pockets. You opened the door to see his head rise up. Colin's eyes full of regret and sorrow. "Sarabi.." He sighed of relief. Your heart leaped and your stomach turned in knots, hearing him call your name for the first time in three weeks. "Come in..." You stepped aside for him to enter. You both sat down on a couch. As he reached to grasp your hand, you hesitated to let him hold it. "Sarabi look, I know I haven't been the best boyfriend to you, but you know what?" Colin started. "I will be the best father that I can be to our child." He added. "How do I know you're not just saying that Colin? I mean you kept talking about how we're not ready..." You trailed, but then you asked the question that has been lingering in your head for the past few days. "Colin, d-do you even want this baby?" He looked flabbergasted. "Sarabi, of course I want the baby!" You mentally sighed a breath of relief, but then interrogated a bit more. "So, if you want a baby, why weren't you happy for me? For us?" "It's not that I wasn't happy babe, it was just so sudden. I panicked, I said maybe we're not ready because we don't have the experience to tend to the needs of a child." Colin explained. You held his chin so you two could gaze in one another's eyes. "Baby boy we are have to start from somewhere. We're going through this together. Besides, I'm sure our parents could help us along the way." He cracked a smile and you giggled. "I'm sorry baby." Colin engulfed you into a warm hug. "I forgive you, just don't let it happen again." He huffed, still staring at your glowing figure. You scrunched your eyebrows together. "What's wrong babe?" You questioned concerned. "Nothing. Everything's perfect. You're perfect. I'm just ecstatic that I have the most beautiful woman in the world as my girlfriend, soon to be wife, and mother of my child." Colin complimented. You couldn't resist smiling at Colin. Just like you couldn't resist kissing him over and over again when you two made love.
