-Still Trey's POV-
After yesterday's fight with Jay, I realized that to show her that she's the only one that I want, I should get down on one knee. It's kind of like we already are since both sides of our families are already close. Of course before I give Jetta a token of our love, I have to speak with her family first. It was about 8 A.M. and knowing Jay wasn't a morning person I slightly slipped out of her grip. I exited the room and went to the living room where everyone seemed to be. "It's about time you woke up!" My sister announced. I laughed and greeted everyone. "Guys, I actually came down here to ask for approval..." I trailed off. "Approval of what honey?" My mother questioned along with a face of confusion that seemed to fit everyone's face. "I need the approval of all of you to marry Jetta." I answered nervously. Everyone's face changed from confusion to excitement except for Jetta's father and brother. Their faces looked shocked. "Trey, do you truly love my daughter like you say you do?" Pure silence fell as Jetta's father interrogated me. "Yes sir, I love her more than anything." I told whole-heartedly. "Alright son, I trust you." He cracked a smile and got up to shake my hand and hug me. "Be good to my baby sister man." Her brother chimed in, joining the hug. "Don't worry, I'll treat her like the queen she is." I responded. "So, how are you going to propose to her?" All the women wondered. "That, I do not know yet." I replied trying to come up with a way to surprise her. "You should do something spontaneous; Something that she'd never expect." Jay's mother answered. Everyone thought long and hard, occasionally listing ideas that I could use. "Trey, what about popping the question during the fireworks show. You know like have the question actually in the fireworks." Jetta's brother exclaimed. "That's a great idea! Thanks man, I owe you." I thanked him. "Now all I have to do is buy the fireworks and go ring shopping." I smiled and sighed. I'm finally marrying my baby girl. After all these years she's gonna be mine, once and for all. I snapped back into reality and told them to come up with something if Jay asks where I was while Jay's dad and brother tagged along with me.

Your POV
You woke up stirring and realized that Trey was not in bed anymore. When you looked at the clock, it read 10:45 AM. You sighed and did your morning routine. After you put on a comfortable outfit to wear around the house, you went downstairs. "Hey guys!" You said as you waved at everyone. "Hey sleepyhead!" Trey's sister called. You laughed but soon realized that Trey was nowhere to be found. "Where did Trey go?" You questioned clueless as to where he could be. "He went with your brother and father to the store to get some food to grill for the barbecue tomorrow. You know how men are." Your mom trailed. You smiled and walked into the kitchen to go grab something to eat.

Skipping to nighttime>>
"Babe! This food is delicious!" You complimented Trey. "Thanks Jay, don't worry it gets better." He smirked. "Oh no, what have you planned?" You teased. "I guess you'll just have to wait and see." Your boyfriend replied. "Who's ready for some fireworks?" Your dad shouted as everyone cheered. You loved watching the fireworks, it was your favorite part of Independence Day. Everyone ooh and ahh'ed at the colorful burst of sparks. "This is so beautiful Trey." You informed him as you stared at the fireworks. "I know, but I bet you're gonna love what's next." You look at him suspiciously as he smiled at you. "Now for the finale!" Your dad chimed in once again. You looked back up at the fireworks and in bright bold letters it read: "Jetta will you marry me?" You were shocked and overjoyed at the message. When you looked at Trey he was already down on one knee. "Baby girl, you've been with me through all of the good and bad times in my life. You're all I could ever hoped for. I love you so much. Will you marry me Jetta?" True spoke sincerely. "Yes! Of course I'll marry you Trey!" You answered with tears falling off of your cheeks. He stood and kissed you ever so passionately as he engulfed you into a giant bear hug. "I love you so much Jay!" Trey exclaimed in between kisses. "I love you too Alfonso." You stated before both of you continued to show affection to each other while everyone celebrated.
