"I mean-I had eaten a few bags of little chips the night before. So I am taking that into account." I looked up while laying on the long chair.
"Mhm, well you know how you eat can affect how you feel. And you've been getting sick a lot lately."
"Sometimes I think I get sick because of how I feel."
"Well, then we want to make an effort to eat the right things, even when we are feeling bad. It's okay to treat yourself once in a while but in your case eating healthy during the night, and those days when we are feeling down are crucial. I'm sorry hon our session is over now, do we want to schedule for next week?"
"Uh yes please."
"Okay I have an appointment for Monday at 4 pm. Does that sound good?"
"Yep, sounds good." I grabbed my strawberry backpack from the floor beside the chair I was laying on and got up.
"Alright bye hon."
"Bye-bye." I walked out of the door and out of the building and waited on the bench in the front. I stared at the passing cars. I just looked around me. I opened up my strawberry bag. Grabbed The Glass Castle. I began reading and annotating for my ApLang class I'll be taking my junior year. Just then my dad pulled up in his black truck. I hopped in.
"Hey sweetie."
"Hi."
"How was the session?"
"Good. How was your day?"
"Good as always."
"Can I play music."
"Sure why not?"
I connected my phone to the trucks speaker through the charger and put my playlist on shuffle. Do Not Touch by Misamo started playing. I started smiling and humming along.
It feels good.
I wanna hang onto this feeling.
