HD sighed as he waited for Dream to wake up. And started to get concerned when Dream wouldn't wake up. "Dear? Are you alright?" HD whispered and caressed Dreams hair. Dream didn't move or make a sound HD checked if Dream still had a pulse and if he was breathing HD sighed in relief when both were alright and nothing was wrong with Dream. HD stood up and wanted to grap something when he was stopped by HQ. "You do realize this is forbidden right?" HQ asked he was the god of enjoyment and gambling. "Yes I do know and I don't care now leave me alone" HD responded annoyed that HQ was sticking his nose in his business.

"HD you can't do this... this mortal has  family, friends and a life down on earth you can't keep him here..." HQ said and sighed knowing HD would want to keep Dream for himself. "And now he's with me where he will be safe for all eternity no one will be able to hurt him he will be under my care" HD responded and looked back to face HQ. "He will eventually try and get away... let him go before te too late" HQ said before he left. HD sighed he felt something he had never felt before water formed in his eyes and fell down his face, what was this feeling? Did he care about a mortal he just met? "Why... why?!" HD yelled out while he covered his eyes with his hand. He felt his heart break he wasn't going to let go no matter the cost.

Dream woke up by HD's sudden yelling. "Is everything alright? Did something happen?" Dream asked while he was still half asleep his eyes were half closed and he yawned softly and he finished talking. "No dear everything is alright" HD responded and picked Dream up. HD showed Dream the rest of the god realm for the rest of the week. Dream had completely forgotten about his friends and family while HD showed him the god realm. HD was happy that Dream stayed by his side and didn't leave but HQ's words kept on echoing through his head 'he will eventually try and get away...' HD hated it he didn't want Dream to leave.

Throughout this time HD started to fall in love with Dream. HD would shower Dream in affection and various of gifts Dream had never felt this loved. For the next few months the two spend their time together until HD started noticing that Dreams eyes were redder than normal and it seemed like he wasn't sleeping. HD picked Dream up and put him on his throne. "What is going on?" HD asked gently not wanting to hurt Dreams feelings. "Nothing..." Dream replied with no emotions. "Don't lie to me..." HD said a bit pissed off that Dream was lying to him. "You wouldn't understand" Dream spat out. HD was stunned by Dreams sudden raise of his voice. "Don't raise your voice at me... tell me what is going on" HD started to become a bit aggressive he stood up and looked down at Dream something he had never done before.

Dream sighed and tears began to stream down his face HD immediately softened when he saw Dream crying. HD sat back down and picked Dream up he kissed Dreams head and lowered him again. "HD do you care about me?" Dream asked softly. HD was stunned by the question why would Dream ask that? "Of course I do dear... why would you doubt that" HD asked wanting to know who put this thought in Dreams head. "It's just... every time I see someone else around here you cover me up... as if you're ashamed of me..." Dream replied and sniffed. HD's eyes widened he hadn't realized he was hurting Dreams feeling while trying to protect him.

HD sighed and smiled softly. "I'm not ashamed of you there are many bad people here and I want to protect you from them..." HD said Dream. "Really...?" "Yes really" HD assured Dream. Dream smiled when he heard that and closed his eyes. HD picked Dream up and put him close to his chest. At this point HD was completely in love with Dream. HD laid Dream down on his throne and just as he was about to leave the temple the higher up called him to the court room. HD was confused, he was the second powerful and respected next to the higher up so why is he being called there?
