"So, you're not a part of it? Remember what I said, you cannot prove anything to your brother if you don't have me." Quinn said in disbelief.
"I don't have to prove anything to him! I can just tell him the truth of who you are." I said back.
"He's not going to believe you but suit yourself." Quinn said as she walked out of the house.
I made a mistake.
If I didn't follow Hailey's plan, then none of this would have happened! Even though I would have no friends, at least I would be friends with my brother.
I turned the T.V off as laid down in the sofa. I got a pillow and threw at a glass picture frame. Good thing it didn't break or else I would be dead even though I wouldn't care if I was.
5 minutes later, I fell asleep.
***
The door creaked open. I woke up due to the sound of it. I got up slowly and saw Oliver at the door. Usually he would say hi, but this time he just looked at me and looked away.
Soon after that, my mom walked in the house too.
"OH, YOU'RE IN BIG TROUBLE, VICTORIA!" My mom yelled at me.
"Mom, I'm sorry, okay? I just wanted to fit in."
"FIT IN? DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT FIT IN IT?!" My mom yelled as she took of her slipper and threw it at me.
I tried dodging it, but it fell on my head.
"OW, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!" I yelled.
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? HAH, YOU'RE A JOKSTER. HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN SNEAK YOUR PHONE AND WEAR A CROPPED TOP TO SCHOOL JUST TO FIT IN! NOW THE TEACHERS ARE GOING TO THINK I'M LIKE ALL OF THOSE OTHER PARENTS THAT ALLOW THEIR KIDS TO WEAR THOSE DISGUSTING THINGS!"
"MOM, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!"
"EVERYTHING IS AN ACCIDENT, EH? EVEN YOUR GRADES TOO! THE ONLY ACCIDENT HERE IS YOU!"
I felt tears come from my eyes. Did my mom call me an... accident?
"I WISH I NEVER HAD TWINS! IF I COULD PICK BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR BROTHER IT WOULD BE YOUR BROTHER! AT LEAST HE DOESN'T CHANGE TO FIT IN WITH THE WORLD AND HE ACTUALLY GETS GOOD GRADES! WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GET OLDER? A MC DONALD WORKER? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE YOUR GRADES ARE GOING TO GET YOU TO COLLEGE MUCH LIKELY 12TH GRADE! OH, MY GOODNESS, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH OF AN EMBARRASSMENT YOU ARE TO ME AND YOUR ANCESTORS!"
"ACTUALLY, DUE TO THE WAY THAT YOU TREAT ME COMPARED TO OLIVER ACTUALLY MAKES ME KNOW THAT I'M AN EMBARRASSMENT! OLIVER ALSO CALLED ME AN EMBARRASSMENT TODAY SO I'M PRETTY SURE I ALREADY KNOW!"
"OLIVER CALLED YOU AN EMBARRASSMENT?"
"YEAH!"
"GOOD, HE WAS NOT LYING. YOU KNOW WHAT, YOU AREN'T GETTING YOUR PHONE BACK UNTIL YOU PASS EVERY CLASS AND DECIDE TO BE A DOCTOR! IF YOU WANT TO NOT BE AN EMBARRASSMENT THEN FOLLOW EVERYTHING THAT I WANT YOU TO DO!"
"MOM, I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BEING A DOCTOR, BUT I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT BEING A PIANIST! IT ISN'T ABOUT WHAT SOMEBODY WANTS YOU TO BE, IT'S ABOUT WHAT ACTUALLY INTRESTS YOU AND WHAT YOU CAN DO BEST! I WOULD RATHER HAVE A FUN JOB THAT PAYS YOU AN AVERGE AMOUNT THAN A BORING JOB THAT PAYS YOU A MILLION DOLLARS!"
"SO, YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU WANT TO BE POOR?! OH, MY GOODNESS, THIS AIN'T MY DAUGHTER! BE A DOCTOR!"
"YOU CAN'T BE TELLING ME TO BE A DOCTOR WHEN YOU SERIOUSLY DROPPED OUT FROM BEING A DOCTOR!"
