it was a long 8 years, but i finished college and medical school to become a psychiatrist, i could finally move back home to seabrook to be with all my family again.

it's not like i didn't visit them on holidays but i had my own very busy life.

but now i'm 26, i'm single and i have no kids, all my friends from highschool are settling down and getting married or having kids, sure i'm happy for them but it's just weird to watch when i'm only getting started with my life.

i mean sure all that schooling was so worth it because now i make fortunes but was it completely worth it?

it was a hard, long and thoughtful drive a few states back home to seabrook.

i was gonna stay at my parents for the few days i am before buying a new house and having all the movers bring my stuff there.

i had the money i just wanted to settle down, i mean my parents were more then thrilled to be keeping me for a few days.

i brought my bags in and started at the house i grew up in, they were both at work but i walked around looking at my room, just how it was when i left it.

i laid down. stretching and starting at my phone.
o texted a few friends to all meet up again.
i got dressed in something cute and walked down to the froyo station to meet up with them.

it was so exciting seeing them again.

we sat down and ate froyo talking about all the "remember whens" from highschool.

"oh my god, is that zed?" i asked nodding in his direction.

"oh yeah it is, i haven't talked to him in a couple years we should invite him over" madeline says

"uh no that'll be so awkward" i smiled.

"no it won't so what you guys dated 9-8 years ago? you'll be fine" abby said.

he almost doesn't look different.

Madeline waves him over.

he smiled walking over.

"y/n is that you? get in here can't believe you did allat schooling" he says pulling me up and hugging me. same old zed.

i hugged back "it's good to see you too zed" i smiled.

he hugged everyone else.

i looked up at him, he looked down at me, almost the same way he used to sophomore year.

"i don't think i have your new number" he says giving me his phone "oh yeah i guess not" i said.

i put in my number and he smiled.

"well uh i gotta go it's zoeys highschool graduation day and i can't miss that" he laughed.

"no way she's already graduating, i used to love zoey she was so sweet" i smiled.

"yeah she loved you too" he said "maybe you can come with she'd love to see you again i mean it's been so long"

i looked at my friends and they all nodded their heads yes.

"ok maybe i will" i said getting back up

zed and i walked arm in arm as i finished up my froyo
