"Nina," Sonny whispered as he saw his lover. He rushed to her as she entered the room. "Are you okay? Where have you been?" Sonny asked as he embraced her. "Of course, I am not okay; my daughter is dead," she mumbled into Sonny's chest. He rocked her back and forth in an attempt to provide comfort.

The movement paused as a gunshot rang through the mansion.

"SPENCER!" Trina screamed as her lover collapsed at her feet. She attempted to pull from Heather, but the knife beside her neck pierced her skin. A drizzle of blood trailed down, painting her dress with small droplets.

Her tears fell immediately as she lowered her gaze to her lover, who groaned in pain at the bullet that went through his ankle.

She reached out to him, but he was distracted by his injury. "Your sister is going to be pissed at you," Heather chuckled as Ezra shrugged, "He'll live," Spencer groaned, quickly removing his tie.

"Oh, quick thinking young man, I see why my daughter favors you." Heather taunted as Spencer wrapped his ankle. Heather kicked the gun from Spencer's hand as he tried to regain his composure.

"Grab that, and let's go," Heather directed her, "Don't even try to make any sudden movements." Ezra threatened as he approached her and Heather.

"TRINA!" She heard the panic in Spencer's voice. She felt a grip on her dress, and he pushed himself up. Ezra smacked his lips as he pettily kicked Spencer's wound, making him collapse again.

Trina took the risk, snatching away from Heather's grip. She fell beside Spencer, holding him tightly. "What is the end goal here?" Spencer asked as he swapped positions, placing Trina beneath him from the gun that pointed at her. "You-You want me to be with Esme? Is that it, to make her happy — is that what you want?" Spencer directed his question at Ezra, who shrugged.

"I want revenge; you ruined her life. You fucked up our father's plan. Your family destroyed her; hurt her to the point she found me unrecognizable." Ezra amused facial expression twisted into malice.

"I destroyed her? Me? My family? Oh, all of your perspectives are twisted. Esme brought her amnesia on herself. She destroyed herself; she got caught up in her own game." Spencer spat to the brother as Heather glared; his words weren't taken lightly.

"She pursued me! Manipulated me! She destroyed my life, my family, and many others in this city since I blindly assisted her with her father's plan." Spencer continued, "The only good that came from all of this was Trina, and I'll be damned if I allow Esme or any of you to destroy her again."

Trina stared up at her lover in tears.

"Nice declaration, Romeo." Ezra spat as he squats to their level. "Too bad it's not much you can do," He glanced at the dripping ankle before looking at the couple. "I shouldn't have shot you so quick — although I don't regret pulling the trigger — I think a fight would've been fun."

Spencer scoffed at him as he barricaded Trina between him and the balustrade.

The sound of the door breaking alerted the foursome. "Ok, no more stalling — move," Ezra demanded Spencer as one hand held Trina's arm, and another held the gun to his head.

"You're not going to kill me," Spencer taunted as the cracking of the door from the room they were once in began getting louder. "Don't push me!" Ezra yelled, "Or what!" Spencer yelled back.
