Act:16 The Small City of Spirit Animals. We Fit Right In

"Kayla it's time we move" She nods, kicks the panel that collapses the house and pockets the cube. I start to walk as i realize, I have no idea how to go back to my human or...uh angel form. "So where to next Mr. Boss man?" Michaela says trying to get on my nerves. " I have NO idea!" I shout with a smile on my face. No really I have NO idea AT ALL where to go next. I'm just going to wonder and hope the girls don't turn on me. Daylight beats on the parched grass...that still does that weird self revive under my foot thing. Michaela and the rest don't even notice and i don't know if it's normal for lights. still as our animals we stumble on what seems as a stone path."Guys lets follow this. maybe we can get some answers on what to do next." after some walking we run into a wall of doorways and symbols of animals over them. A sign above us read "Passageway to the City Of Spirit Animals. Prove you're who you say you are and follow your path" That tells me I have to take the Fox path. "Well guess we will go through the trial of the animal kingdom. find your paths" Michaela snarls. "I'm TWO animals!" as that comes out the wolf and cat paths collide and form a single path. that sends everyone,even me into a panic. "Did you just see that!" Nick shouts. "yes...yes i did. I still want us to move in." i say hiding my fear. I take five steps into my path and it's as if i'm walking into Kronos's cave again. Cold,damp and wet feelings wrap around me as a prepare for the insane. "Take a deep breath and get ready for your agility test. Fox." a voice whispers in my fox ear. I fold back my ears, raise my tail and listen... something is giving out. Its below me! JUMP! I leap and flip to safety as the ground behind me gives out and falls into pure magma. Time to keep moving the sound isn't stopping! I break into a four legged sprint as stone starts to rain like a meteor shower in the now enclosed hallway. My ears sweep the room like radars taking in the sound as I sprint and i know where the stones are falling before they come into view. as I'm running I see a yellow ribbon strung across the room. I claw it in half and the shower stops and the floor behind me recovers from its insane downfall. "Id say you did great using what you were given. test two is stealth, knowing your steps are silent try to worry about the rest of yourself" That's when the room turned to a forest and two shadows with rifles appeared. i dive into brush with a rustle and the shadows notice. I want to freeze when i hear the whisper again "you have people to live for... you can't give up now." That fills me with the need to survive. I fold my ears back and stiffen my tail so it stays behind me as i do the risky move of bolting between the shadows, heading for the pitch black darkness behind them. Rifles light up the room and i dive into the darkness. thats when my vision seemed to turn green and i could see clearly. Of course foxes hunt at night sometimes. I sliver through the brush staying completely quiet and cut the ribbon on the other side. "now your turn to be the hunter" the whisper tells me. Thats when two shadows appear as i'm perched in the brush. the shadows are dragging who, it looks like... KAYLA. I sneak silent and unseen,Looking for an angel that best would surprise the shadows. I find it and pounce, Aiming for the throat. a claw from each hand takes both shadows out and i cut the rope around kaylas wrists. She looks up with soft eyes and whispers "you passed..." she had a voice different from the whisper and from her own, she fades away and i find out that it was a challenge and stand with a deep breath. Why was the voice from the vision different from the whisper?Well as confused as i am I did it. but i feel like that was too real to be a test. maybe it was a lesson... I walk into a brightly colored town with all kinds of people or uh...Spirit animals. some i know and a lot i don't know. I realize i'm alone and thats when the rest of my friends show up gasping for air, except for Michaela who stood with confidence. Well guess were in.    "well i had fun" Michaela says as she paces over to me. I look up at her in astonishment. How was that FUN?! I take another deep breath and dare to ask the question "Do you have any idea how the goddess use to sound and speak by any chance?" She looks up at me and takes a breath as if it's a sad memory. "She always inspired people to get out of any situation... She was soft and she acted like a guide." I stop her "that sounds a lot like the voice whispering in my ear in the pathway..." Kayla stands tall after painting. "You too? I heard something like that too" Michaela covers both of our mouths. "I don't believe either of you" Now Nick is standing. "Yeah from what i heard it doesn't sound very laget" I let out a sigh and motioned for them to come on. A fully human girl walks through the market and looks at the meats. How did she get through the trials? Thats when she morphed to a wolf and sniffed out the bad steak. It kind of weirded me out but i walked up to her when she was human. "Hello. Wolf right?" I say knowing one thing we have in common, We are both Canine. "Yes i am. I know a fellow canine when i see one. Fox correct?" she says with a hand out for a handshake. she had dark curly hair and brown eyes. she was half my height but she seemed strong for her size. "Im Gina. You are?" I smile as she shoots me a grin "My name is Patrick. Nice to know people in this place are friendly"She looks over my shoulder and sees my feline friends. "WOW WHY ARE FELINES BEHIND YOU!?" she shouts with five steps backwards. I put my hands up and try to show they won't do no harm "They are part of my...pack...yeah thats what i would call it... a pack of misfits and outsiders" That caught some of her curiosity and Michaela took the rest. She flicked Michaelas ear, Making Michaela swat at Gina. Then Gina swatted Michaela tail and Kayla had to hold her back from clawing Gina across the face. "Cat AND wolf?! Thats Unheard of!" Gina shouts while pacing around the enraged Michaela. " So Gina we have no idea how to turn human again and we need either new pack members or a job."Gina smiles and looks at me " you just have to imagine yourself as human again but don't do it here! im the only exception and if the other animals hear your not whole spirit animals you're dead!" OK so human bad in this city... "Thanks for telling me Gina" Gina socks me in the gut hard bringing me on a knee "Sorry i needed you at my height and i wanted to show my strength to those cats... I want in on your pack!" That surprises me. Trying to talk with the wind knocked out of me i struggle out "You're...In" She does a little leap for joy and gives me a five second hug "That's the only hug you will ever see me give!" she says as if i just saw her dancing like no one was around. "I don't usually like hugs" She tells me as i stand up. I look at her and grin "Noted". I was surprised on how hard she could hit. small package for some big punch.
