~Reaper's POV~

I entered the Antivoid, expecting the same response as always. Error would see me, throw a few attacks, relent and let me sit by him for a few hours, then leave. It was an odd relationship, to say the least. Error's crippling fear of touch and natural distrust of everyone around him made every advance like walking on eggshells. If I said something with the wrong wording, he could crash from fear or disgust. No matter what progress I made, one move too quick could throw him into an angry rage. That didn't matter too much, though. I loved Error all the same. He was a kind Soul. His list of sins was long, but he was trying to redeem himself. And as a judge of where dead Souls go, it was one of the things I admired most about him.

This time, instead of being greeted with a groan, it was silence. I assumed Error didn't see me, but his eyes darted to me as I got closer. Maybe he was too captivated by Undernovella? I hovered closer, finally standing by the portal he was using to watch his little "show." He glanced at me, then right back at the viewing portal. I didn't get it- why was he not saying anything? Error never went silent like that, not even when he was really angry! "Uh...hey, Error." He looked at me again, before going right back to the portal. Okay, that's really weird. I sighed and sat beside him, which finally prompted him to speak. "hEy."

That...That was it?! No 'Oh, hi, get out?' Just...'hey,'? I felt my grin fall a bit, glancing at Error in worry. This time, those gorgeous eye lights were completely on me. I felt my cheeks start to burn, chuckling a bit awkwardly. "See something you like, Err?" His gaze immediately went back to the viewing portal. It wasn't entirely odd but...usually he would say something like 'Hell no' or 'You wish'. Error was acting super out of character...and it was really worrying me. I sighed, which caught his attention again. "Okay, what's going on? You're acting weird." Error mumbled something that I could quite catch- probably because I was three feet away and his voice was already hard to understand. "Huh?"

"i WaNt To ToUcH yOu." I blinked in surprise, confused. Error wanted to touch me? Physical touch? But he was scared of touch, right? Didn't it make his body seize up in fear and cause him to crash? "Uh- one more time?" Error's normal anger flashed, his fists clenching. "i sAiD I WaNtEd tO ToUcH YoU, dAmNiT!" I smiled, my cheeks turning bluer by the second. There's the Error I knew and loved. I held my hand to him, and he flinched back for a moment. "w-wAiT, rEaPeR..." "Yes, Err?" i-i...i gOt a-a, Um...v-vIaL...FrOm iNk? H-He sAiD It, U-Um...wOuLd mAkE It...s-sO I CaN T-ToUcH..?" I blinked in surprise again.

Error and Ink's relationship was...complicated. The two had long since stopped their constant feuding because neither of them had the attention span for it anymore. They had agreed that for as many new AUs Ink created, Error could destroy the same amount. Some AUs were off limits, however- like the Underswap the third Star hailed from, or Dreamtale, or my AU. Error, of course, had his list of AUs he didn't destroy because he just liked them, like Undernovella and Outertale. Now, the two Gods just got on like old friends, albeit they both annoyed each other 75% of the time.

I realized I was doing that awkward staring thing again when Error flinched away. I blinked myself out of it and softly reached my hand further out. He stared at it for a bit before softly taking it. His glitches didn't get any worse, he was just...holding my hand. His face lit up in excitement. "rEaPeR! rEaPeR, lOoK! w-wE'Re hOlDiNg hAnDs!!" "I see that, Erry. You're doing so good for me, honey..." He smiled, slowly moving to hold both my hands. He once again got excited and giggled happily, which made my Soul thud harder in my ribcage. He leaned forward and softly kissed me, connecting our teeth as softly and gently as always.
