I awoke to the sound of quiet rustling and small bickering. I tried to pry my eyes open, but they felt stuck - as if glue had been displayed all over the underneaths of my eyelids.

Using little movement, I decided to use touch as my top sense instead of sight. I moved my fingers around cautiously, just in case I was being watched and didn't know it.

I wasn't on a bed, that's for sure.

I can cross out hospital then.

The floor that I was lying on felt hard and prickly, like cement. And unfortunately, that was the only evidence I had to find out where I was being held hostage.

I groaned in my head. If I hadn't of found out I was a werewolf, this wouldn't have happened and I would be in college - with my friends - right now.

Why can't we all just be human? No vampires, no werewolves, none of that shit. Just. . . normal. To be honest though, the world would be boring without us.

"What time do you think she'll wake up?" A deep voice whispered. I assumed he was a guard and had a friend.

I'm in a cell, aren't I?

"Fuck my life." I whispered, out of control.

"Did you hear that?" A different voice whispered.

"She's awake you dumbass, of course I heard it." The other one commented.

"Oh," dumbass said.

"You're so th-"

"Guys! Seriously, I can't open my eyes!" I shouted, throwing my hands around.

"Yeah, that's from the antibiotics." One voice said.

"How do I open them?" I asked.

"Relax and slowly open them, really slowly though other wise it'll hurt."

I obeyed the mans rules, relaxing all of my muscles and breathing deeply. After ten seconds, I tried to open my eyes. Slowly, they opened and a blur covered my iris.

"Thanks," I said, after I had regained my vision.

"No problem." A tall, chirpy man with a deep voice said. He was blond with blue eyes and had a pretty fit face. However, I felt no attraction to him.

Stupid mate.

The other male stood next to him, and he almost reached the ceiling. He had black hair with streaks of grey in it - pursuing that he isn't young. His eyes sparkled with mischief and I couldn't help but think he was related to Dame.

"Why did you guys help me?" I asked.

"The Alpha needed to speak to you, so we were waiting until you woke up. And now you have, so move." The old, tall grey haired monster demanded.
