TRI
One moment, you have everything you want in your hands. And then the next thing you know, everything is gone. That's how fast the time passes by. Not until it's finally too late and we realized they are already gone.
I'm 33 and I should've already known things I didn't know back then but until now I'm still trying to learn the things I can't understand.
It's been already two months and three weeks since Dax came here. What if that was already the last chance universe gave to us?
Bakit ko sinayang ang pagkakataon?
I smiled bitterly.
"Tri, honey, let's go inside."
She informed me.
I suddenly got curious, she never talked to me about the staffs.
I asked while checking the portraits my Mom decided to place here.
She's now busy talking to our Barangay Captain.
I saw him standing near our van talking to someone.
"Willing akong maging photographer at nurse at the same time, Tito.
I froze on my place and like how I first met him again almost three months ago, everything stops around me.
The voices of people faded, my surroundings suddenly didn't exist, and the wind played the role of music for the first time in three years. At that moment, there was no one but me and Dax.
He smiled and I got a perfect view of the rising sun because of that. Like an idiot I never wished to become because of love, I found myself smiling and on the verge of crying.
When his eyes finally moved from Dad to me, my smile slowly faded—not because I wasn't happy, but because at that moment, what mattered most was how my heart beat so fast for him. And I know he knows it. I know he can hear it no matter the distance. I just know it.
