Trapped and Mated

Chapter one: Kidnapped

"Thump." "Thump." "Thump."

My heart was beating so fast, I could feel the earth beneath my paws, the wind in my fur. I could taste the cool summer night on my tongue as I ran through the dark forest. I felt free. I can also smell the food at my parent's house.

"I should head back home." I said to myself.

I ran back home and found my clothes hung on the branch where I left them. I shifted and put my clothes back on and went inside.

"Mom, Dad, I'm back. That run was amazing." I yell from the front door.

I shut the door and hear nothing. Walking into the kitchen, the stove was still on with a pot of water boiling away.

"Mom! Dad! Where are you?" I asked. Still no response. I search the house, nothing.

"Where could they have gone?" I ask out loud.

I decided to try and sense them. I could feel nothing, but the doesn't mean anything because they could be outside my reach. Maybe they went out looking for me. No, they would have tried reaching me first. I didn't sense them calling for me either. I don't know what to do. I call Logan, my boyfriend.

"Hey babe. What's up?" He asks when he picks up.

"Nothing. Have you heard from my folks?" I ask.

"No, why?" He asked.

"I went on a run, came back and they were gone." I said starting to worry.

"Run? You went on a run? Since when do you run? Never mind that you said they were gone?" He asked.

I never told him that I'm a werewolf, but us wolves live in peace with humans. I'm not going to tell him because my mate is still out there.

"No, dummy. Yes, they are gone! Have you seen them?" I ask starting to get frustrated.

"Nope, not since yesterday." He said.

"Okay, well then I'll talk to you later." I said disappointed.

"Okay, bye Charolette. He hung up.

About an hour goes by and I hear nothing from anyone, then Logan shows up.

"Hey sweet thang, any word on your parent's?" He asked handing me a drink and snacks.

"No, nothing." I take a drink.

"Hey, this tastes funny." I say starting to feel woozie. Logan starts to laugh, and everything goes black.

I start to wake up and everything hurts. My head, my arms, my legs. I'm also chained to something. I moan.

"who's there?" Asked a familiar voice.

"Mom? Is that you?" I ask.

"Charolette?" She asks.

"Where are we mom?" I ask.

"I'm not sure. All I know is that Logan came over after you went on your run. While I was cooking, I was knocked out." She said quietly.

"When I came home, I looked for you guys, then I called him. Did he do this to us?" I ask starting to cry.

"Don't cry baby, we will get out of this. Shhhhh... I can hear someone coming." She says.

"Oh look, she's awake." Said Logan.

"Why are you doing this Logan? I've been nothing but good to you." I said through my tears.

"When were you going to tell me that you were a werewolf?" He asked.

"I didn't find it necessary because you aren't my mate!" I yelled.

"Well, I guess I should tell you, my secret. I'm a hunter, and I'm going to torture you and your family until your dead. There's a pretty penny out on your head." He said with a smug grin on his face.

"Derek!" Logan yelled.

I started to tense just by hearing his name.

"Yes boss." Said a shadow in the doorway.

That voice made my whole-body tremble. My wolf started to go crazy. I tried to calm her down to no avail.

"Mate. Mate. Mate." She said excited. Then I heard it.

"Mate." Said the shadow in the doorway.

"Mate." I growled.

The man who I assume is Derek came into the soft light of the room and walked over to me. He put himself in front of me as if to be protecting me.

"Derek. What are you doing? You know what happens when you disobey me." Said Logan.

"I'm sorry boss, I can't let you hurt her, she is my mate. I have to protect her." Said my mate.

"You know what, I could use this to my advantage. Derek untie her and take her with you." Said Logan.

My wolf starts jumping with joy. I couldn't help but smile because of her.

"I'm glad you found your mate Charolette." She said to me. she then turns to Derek.

"Keep her safe." She said to Derek.

"Shut up! You talk when I say to talk!" Yelled Logan as he struck my mom in the face. I whimpered. I didn't like it when people fuck with my family. I guess Derek felt the way I feel.

"Don't worry I'll be fine baby." Said mom through our bond.

"I can't make any promises. They still have a bounty. I need at least one." Said Logan.

Thats when I noticed that my dad wasn't here. He might have gotten away. I have faith he is out there somewhere.

We left it at that. Derek walked me up to his room. I could feel his power. The power of an Alpha.
