Ipocrita - The Final Battle - Part 2

Marinette was lost deep in thought as she ran towards the roof (so they wouldn't know that she was in the school already) .

She couldn't stop thinking about what was happening in that classroom.

About Plagg, about Tikki, about all of them. Was this her fault?

The mere thought stopped Marinette in her tracks.

She was the one who had failed to stop Ipocri-Lila.

She was the one who knew Lila would pull something like this.

And she was the one who knew Plagg was bullied, and turned a blind eye to it.

Marinette took a deep breath.

She had to admit it: she did know all of this, but if she could make one promise, it was this.

Ipocri-Lila, whatever she called herself, was going down.

No matter the cost.

This motivated Marinette to push herself up and continue on to the roof.

As she was running, she flicked open her yo-yo to reveal the phone hidden.

She shot a text to Chat Noir, asking him where he was.

"Heyyy, Bug-a-boo!"

Marinette put a hand to her head.

'Oh speak of the devil!'

"M'lady! How have you been feline recently? Because I fur know that I've been feline great!"

"But not as great as I am without you!" Chat Noir winked.

"Not the time, Kitty."

Chat Noir seemed to straighten up the second, Marinette said that.

"Are you ok.... M'lady?"

Marinette paused. Her eyes became watery. She fought not to let her tears fall.

"If you ask me, not really."

"Why?"

"Because-'

Marinette stopped. She couldn't just tell Chat that she was involved in this, or it would jeopardize their identities.

"Because... the akuma in there is Lila Rossi, and we already know what she can do. "

Chat's ears drooped on his head.

"Hey." Chat Noir stepped closer to Ladybug and took her hands in a tight embrace.

"No matter what happens, trust me when I say, we will defeat Lila again. And properly put all her lies to rest. Cat's honor."

Ladybug smiled.

"Thanks Chaton."

Ladybug slipped her hands out of Chat's; and began to run towards the edge.

"Hey, what are you doing M'lady?" Chat Noir yelled.

Ladybug merely looked back and grinned.

"Try to keep up!"

And with that, Ladybug leaped off the roof and swung into the classroom.

The first sign something was wrong was the window. When Ladybug and Chat Noir came in, it was shattered beyond belief.

It was the only reason, they had not gotten hurt.

The next was that it appeared there was nobody in there, except an unconscious Tikki, Alya, Max and Kim.

'That's weird,' Marinette thought.

"It seems there is no one here. Maybe we should go-"

"LADYBUG, OH THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE!"

It was Nino.

Chat Noir pouted.

"What? No mention of me?"

Nino smiled, but it looked more like an grimace.

"And you two, Chat Noir."

"What's happened here, Nino? It appears there's no one here."

Ladybug's eyes flickered around the destroyed classroom.

Nino seemed to go rigid, eyes bulging out control, breathing suddenly uneven.

"Are you ok, Nino?" Chat Noir said, strangely considerate for the boy.

"Y-yeah, I am, just..."

Nino pointed out of the window, to the east of the window.

Outside of the school.

"Lila went that way."

Ladybug smiled.

"Thank you, Nino."

But before Ladybug and Chat Noir left...

"WAIT! Before you go, I need to tell you something else!"

" Before Lil-Ipocrita left, she took Plagg with him."

Chat froze. He spun round.

"As a captive?"

"No. As her assistant."

It was Marinette's turn to freeze.

"Willingly?"

"No."

Ladybug sighed in relief.

"When she left, she used her mirror to basically make Plagg her servant. I'm pretty sure the akuma is in the mirror."

"Ok."

Ladybug took out her yo-yo. Chat Noir his baton.

"Thank you, Nino. You might want to lay low until we defeat her."

And with that, the two heroes exited the room.

"M'lady, how do we defeat Lila?"

Marinette leaped across another roof in the direction that Nino told them.

"To be honest, Kitty, I don't know. Her powers are different, stronger, but I do know one thing."

"We will defeat her."

Suddenly Marinette heard evil laughter from behind her.

"So you think you can defeat me?"

It was Ipocrita.

She was floating in the air, and her mirror appeared to be glowing.

Using her yo-yo, she swung at the mirror.

Ipocrita disappeared.

"Aha, it's going to be a lot harder than that to defeat me. Especially since I have a new servant now!"

A new face broke through the sky, and appeared floating next to Ipocrita.

It was Plagg.

"HOW DARE YOU TAKE CONTROL OF PL-"

Ipocrita smirked. Marinette clamped a hands over her mouth.

"Take control of who?"

"T-take control of... that young boy!"

Chat Noir moved closer to Marinette.

"Listen Lila, I'm not feline well so BACK UP, Lila."

Ipocrita turned red with anger.

"It's IPOCRITA, not 'Lila'. Lila's dead. I, am all that remains."

And then she pointed the mirror at Chat.

"Your destiny is about to become reality, mutt."

"CHAT NOIR!"
