Today is the big day, Jake's interview with Charly Arnolt and OutKick about what he went through before finding love and care with the Adams', he's really nervous about this which is why his mother, Gloria, sister Kelly and Fiancé Margot are all here for him, the others are at home watching, he couldn't bring too many people into the studio so he chose those three, his dad had to work anyway.
Margot: You ready for this?
Jake's only told a handful of people, never that many, majority of the New York Jets don't even know, he hasn't felt the need to tell anyone but with the baby coming in a few months time, Jake does feel like he should shift this weight from his life and move on, this isn't just a new chapter for him, Jake wants his baby to be a whole new story.
Jake: As I'll ever be.
Kelly hit back with "So, no" making them all laugh except Jake but she's not wrong, Jake's done a lot of nerve racking stuff in his life but this easily takes the cake, this isn't what he expected to do when he was a kid but Margot is right, he needs to get the story out there and he needs to help others with his story, if people who are going through the same thing he did can hear that and see what he's built now, then maybe it can help them to keep fighting for what they love.
Charly: You ready JB?
He's not sure why but the fans and sports annalists have started calling him that, "JB12" to be exact, Jake quite liked it and never said anything about it, he nodded to her and followed to where two comfy chairs sat pretty much opposite each other, only angled towards one of the three camera's set up, one to catch Jake head on, the other for Charly and the last to get them both in frame.
Margot, Kelly and Gloria all stayed back while Jake got mic'd up and ready for this, they even put some make-up on his face to help with the lighting or something, Jake didn't like it but put up with it for now, this is going to be a big moment in his life, the biggest so far at least and he won the Super Bowl as second string to Tom Brady as a Buccaneer, that was a memorable moment in his life but this is something else he's preparing for.
Producer: Whenever your ready.
Everything's set up and ready to go as they waited for Charly or Jake to start off, it's going to be both live streamed and posted onto Social Media and the web once it's over with but it needed to get past the small talk at the beginning first, Margot, Kelly and Gloria are ready for this but their not really sure Jake is, he doesn't look all that comfortable.
Charly: ... So, you wanted to tell us something about you and how you grew up?
This is it, the moment that he's spent weeks trying to get ready for but nothing will ever make him ready, he woke up this morning ready for this but as it turns out, he's not so he adjusted in his seat gave a nervous chuckle followed by a deep breath, he was honestly about to just get up and leave but he saw Margot standing nearby, she gave him a thumbs up which made him swallow the shame and pride then just started to talk about it.
Jake: Well, yeah. I mean it's common knowledge my parents died when I was little and they left me with a fair amount of money. I suppose people didn't think it would take too long for me to get adopted and it didn't to be fair...
Gloria smiled as she watched him talk about this on live camera, she's not sure what all the live streaming and what not means, all she does know is her son's talking about his demons to thousands of people around the world, Margot and Kelly however do know and are really proud of him right now as he spoke openly about all this.
