-Ashton's point of view-
It all started when Luke and I were watching television. I was channel surfing looking for something good to watch that was also appropriate for the little guy. After a while I came across a movie about Angels. I kept watching it, because I find all Angel movies hilarious, the way they are all painstakingly ridiculous.
The thing is when a human comes up with an idea for something, instead of other humans coming up with other ideas they try to outdo the other and take their idea and modify them to their liking. So for instance, with Angel movies, someone must of encountered one and told people of it. The people who were told the story obviously passed it on, changing it in someway so it seemed more exciting and dramatized. The same cycle would repeat for centuries over and over again. When the television was created and movies became popular, people would take the stories they had heard and put them on screen to reenact that story in a way the audience could visualize.
Angel movies are far from the real deal, people make it seem that Angels are fighting for good everyday and that they don't have real lives, hobbies, families, all things that humans do and have daily. Angels also have lives and jobs that they have to attend to everyday. It's not like Lucifer comes knocking on the golden gates everyday looking to terrorize everyone, he may be the lord of death and evil but he too has things to do and places to be also.
As Luke and I watch the movie the last battle comes on to the screen, Lucifer and his demons on one side and the main Angel and his many Angel friends on the other. The Angel comes on the screen with his wings out and I hear a small voice say "Angel." I turn my head to look over at Luke so fast that I get whiplash. "What did you say? Luke did you just speak?" I ask getting extremely excited. I whip out my phone and start recording just in case he speaks again.
"Luke what did you say?" I ask him. "Angel!" Luke exclaims pointing at the Angel on the screen. "Yeah Lukey that's an angel! You just said your first word!" I exclaim dropping my phone, picking him up and spinning him around dramatically. Luke starts to giggle and I also start to do so in response.
I run as fast as I can with Luke in my arms to the phone and dial Janet's number, it rings a few times until I hear a "Hello?" from the other end of the line. "Oh my god Janet you won't believe what just happened!" I exclaim my excitement taking over. "What? what happened is Luke fine? Do I need to call the ADOS?" She quickly asks, her usual panic that I'm somehow going to screw up kicking in.
"Janet no, no calm down! Luke is fine, I'm fine, everything's fine!" I confirm to her.
"Then why are you bloody calling me Fletcher? You only call me if something's wrong." She asks me annoyed, her persona completely changing.
"You need to look into some pills for your bipolar disorder, it shows a lot." I say smirking
"Do you want me to come through this phone and choke you with the phone wire Fletcher, or do you want me to forget you said that and tell me why you called me you blooming idiot?" She growls at me teeth clenched at how I called her out on her bipolar situation. The complete change in mood confirms it, she definitely is bipolar.
"Luke said his first word!" I yell. Luke jumps and his eyes start to swell up with tears. "No, no Lukey I wasn't yelling at you! I was just excited it's okay Bub, I'm sorry." I say to him, bouncing him up and down rubbing a soothing hand on his back.
You see, Luke doesn't like yelling. Whenever I yell he jumps back and starts to cry, I don't know why he hates it so much, maybe because it hurts his tiny ears and the sudden increase of volume scares him, I don't know. All I know is that I'm not suppose to yell around him, because he won't stop crying if I do. To my surprise he doesn't cry at all, I guess it's because I stopped him before he could get started.
