Brittana in NYC

The Audition - Part Two

     Brittany woke up bright and early. Today was her broadway audition and she was determined to kill it. She decided to take a nice long shower to help relax her nerves a bit. As she was walking down the hall to the bathroom, she stopped to look at the wedding pictures Santana had hung up when they first moved in. Brittany couldn't help but sit there and smile at them. Santana looked absolutely stunning. She looked at the pictures and how saw how genuinely happy they both were. In that moment Brittany's nerves started to calm down because, like Santana had said, they had each other. No matter what happened everything would be ok. 

    Brittany got out of the shower and finished getting ready. She walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast, but to her surprise there was breakfast already waiting for her. Santana had gotten up while she was in the shower and made Brittany's favorite breakfast. Brittany's eyes welled up as she looked down at her unicorn shaped waffle with a blueberry for an eye and a whipped cream mane. There were few things Santana hated more than waking up early, but she did today, in order to make sure Brittany had the best breakfast ever before her audition. Brittany ate her food, and once she was finished she walked back into their bedroom. Santana was already back to sleep so Brittany quietly crept over to Santana's side.

"Thank you San. I love you so much." Brittany whispered into Santana's head before giving her a gentle kiss. 

With that Brittany was off to her audition feeling more loved than ever.

    Santana woke up and looked at her phone. Brittany should be home soon and she couldn't wait to see how the audition went. Santana got ready and was eagerly waiting for Brittany to come home. When she heard the keys start to unlock the door she got up and sprinted to the door. Brittany leaped into a hug and knocked them both over.

"San you were right I totally killed it." Brittany squealed.

"Britt that's amazing I knew you could do it!" Santana said with a big smile on her face.

"I didn't forget anything and everything they threw at me I did amazingly. I mean I totally got the part there's no way they didn't love me, I mean who wouldn't." Brittany joked.

"That's right Britt-Britt I'm positive they loved you. You better call Rachel she's been texting me all day asking if you were back yet."

Brittany pulled out her phone and dialed Rachel's number as her and Santana sat down at the kitchen table. Rachel picked up right away.

"Rachel it went amazing. I totally got the part. I don't find out until next week Wednesday but I totally think I got it!" Brittany said. 

Brittany quickly removed the phone from her ear as Rachel loudly squealed on the other end. She put her phone on speaker and set it on the table.

"Brittany that's AAAMAAZINGGG." Rachel loudly yelled. "I personally know, because I am a Broadway star, that the day of waiting to see if you got the part is the hardest. I say you, me, and Santana hang out that day in order to distract you. I know how you can drive yourself crazy waiting by the phone for the call."

"That's a good idea me and Santana are in." 

"Hey Rach, looks like you aren't the only one who is going to be on broadway." Santana added with a smirk on her face. 

There was a momentary silence on the other end.

"Well we don't know if she got the part yet technically but I am more than happy to share MY broadway spotlight with Brittany." Rachel said.

"Uh uh, no me gusta." Santana said as she tried to grab the phone.

Brittany recognized the look in Santana's eyes and quickly grabbed the phone and took it off speaker.
