Junior Year

Chapter 1

*Emyle POV*

I jump out of my Jeep Wrangler. Along with the rest of my friends Kalie, Mikayla, Ainslee, and Jaela.

I have the newest car out of all of us so now I am the person who drives us back and forth.

I wait for everyone else to come out. I open the back of my car where we stocked all of our stuff so we can all fit.

I grab my backpack and wait for everyone to get theirs. They take forever. I don't have the tolerance this morning for this. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

I look around campus and see Matt coming my way smiling. Finally the girls get everything they need and
close the trunk. I lock the car and put the keys in my bag and bring out my sunglasses.

Its really sunny out today. Finally Matt has reached me and gives me a kiss on the cheek and hugs me, I hug him back, just not as tight.

"Hey babe, good morning. Are you ok?" He asks confused.

"I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Then I had to pick up these guys." I say nodding my head towards my friends.

"I hope your day gets better. Here I bought you coffee and a doughnut for breakfast cause I know you don't eat breakfast on Monday's." he says sweetly.

"I'm not even joking right now. I love you so much right now Matt! Your the real MVP." I say smiling.

"Give a girl food, her mood will increase." Matt sats smiling.

*Ainslee POV*

I am on my phone just texting my mother telling her I had breakfast. I look up to see Adam coming our way. Butterflies flutter in my stomach.

Once he reaches us he grabs Mikayla's phone and she fights him to take it back. He gives it back then fist bumps Matt. He walks past me and Jaela makes space for him in between Jaela and I.

Adam takes his place and whispers in my ear,

"You look really cute today, where should our first date be?" He asks me and winks. I blush so bad. I hope no one saw us. I just shrug.

I look at Emyle and she is making a heart out of her hands making a kissing face. I yell at her without talking and she just stops and laughs jumping on Matt's back.

We walk towards our normal spot. We always get to school a half hour early to just to hang out. Its right under the largest tree on campus. We sit on ground.

I sit with my back facing the park in lot. On my left Adam sits next to me then Jaela. Laying back on the tree is Matt with Emyle in his lap. Next to them is Mikayla then Kalie next to her boyfriend Nate. She doesn't look happy.

*Mikayla POV*

My eyes look around the school. Around the entrance is a big banner saying 'Masquerade Ball on Friday at 8pm!'

"Guys! The masquerade Ball is this Friday! Tonight we HAVE to go dress shopping! It's settled!" I scream.

"Some of us don't even have dates. So we are gonna get all dressed to just hang out in a corner?" Jaela questions.

"J, I don't have a boyfriend if you don't notice. I'm not gonna let my loneliness ruin my night. And besides, any guy is willing to go with you. Just watch, I say, at the most, 10 guys ask you out." I say confidently.

"Oh please. Fine, after school, we will go shopping."

"Babe, you need to text me tonight what color your dress is so I can get a matching tie." Nate says to Kalie. All she does is nod her head.

Ding!

That's the bell which means we have to get up and go to our lockers and get our junk.
