Chapter Two
"Amy, this is Uno Gavilantes. I am sure that you are already familiar with him... considering that you two are friends," my grandmother introduced him to me, even though there wasn't a need to. I immediately felt sober when I saw him! Pero mas maganda nga iyon.
Huh... friends.
I don't know how she managed to talk with the guy because he looked so busy and occupied a while ago. I just shook his hand because he was already in front of me. I did not want to be rude. He chuckled and accepted it.
"Amy... am I right?" his brows furrowed when he let go of my hand. I honestly felt so offended!
How could he forget? Was he too successful now?
"Ah, yes." I answered politely and smiled.
"I'll leave you two now!" Mamita held my back before walking away to socialize once again.
"Please excuse me," my lips formed a small smile before slightly bowing. I did not even let him utter a single word and just turned my back on him. I went to the nearest place I can go to. It was a garden.
I sighed as I felt the cool breeze gently caressing my delicate skin. My styled hair was able to keep up with the breeze. I crossed my arms over my chest and closed my eyes. I could do this without any restrictions because no one was around... It felt like an escape from all the noise inside.
I was finally alone.
"A penny for your thoughts?"
Not anymore.
My lips slightly parted when I turned around to look at the man who spoke. I was shocked because I didn't expect him to be here!
I shot a brow at him. "Huh. It seems like you're too busy to be here," I teased. The side of his lip rose as he walked near the fountain. He was a meter away from me.
"You think I'd forget?" he fainly asked.
My brows furrowed. "Forget about what?" I lightly tilted my head.
"You." My heart almost skipped a beat when he answered that.
Ang tagal na no'n! If I was him, I'd forget about it too! It will be... better that way.
He faced me while his hands were in his pocket. I had to look up because he was towering over me. When did he get so tall again? "Long time no see, huh?" his brows raised as he smiled, but did not look like a tease.
I pursed my lips and nodded. I had no idea if he was being sincere or sarcastic. though he looked like he did not change at all. But physically, he became taller and fitter. He also changed his hairstyle. Though the length of his hair remained the same, I noticed that there was a hint of burgundy in it... And he was not wearing glasses anymore. He looked so artistahin.
If he entered the industry, he would immediately be showered with projects.
Fine, he is pogi!
"Can you at least say a word?" His voice still sounded calm. "Don't act so surprised, Louzei." I pouted. I am not surpised! I bit the inside of my cheek when he mentioned my second name. I acted like I was unbothered and gazed at the fountain. The water in it reflected on his skin.
His nose became more noticeable in his side view... and I noticed his long eyelashes as well.
"So you do remember,"
"Paulit-ulit?" I scoffed at his response. Right, he didn't change. He was still the same straightforward guy I knew back then.
Hindi ko alam kung paano ko siya kakausapin. How can he expect me to talk to him casually? Was it that easy?!
