"Will he be alright? Is he going to be traumatised?" "Ma'am I promise your son will be fine. He actually came too much faster than anyone anticipated. He will need to stay for at least a few weeks for physical therapy at least until we can get him on crutches." I hear the doctor tell my now crying mother that I'll be okay. She was really worried about me and now she knows I'll be alright. I would guess her tears are happy ones. "A few weeks huh." I say quietly to myself before the doctor walks in with my mom. She runs up and hugs me, tears streaming down her face. "I missed you so much. Do you know how much you scared me?" she hugs me tighter and I hug her back. "Yeah, sorry. I'd give you a better hug but my legs are a little sore and I don't feel like getting up." I say with a smile. I hear the doctor chuckle slightly and mom wipes her tears. "You always know how to make me smile," She looks at me and smiles happily. "but don't think you're off the hook yet. You just wait until your sister gets here." "Oh belive me, I know." I laugh softly and think of Alison yelling at me as soon as she gets here.

I talked with mom for a little while longer but it was late and she knew she would have to bring Alison to the hospital as soon as she found out I was awake. After she left the doctor came in to talk to me.

"You know kid, when they brought you in here they thought you were dead. Well, you were but you came back." he looked over at me as I propped myself up against the wall "What do you mean I died?" I asked the doctor "I mean your heart stopped for a good 7 minutes. They stopped trying to bring you back after only 4 1/2, but all the sudden your heart started pumping again. Your body shut down to keep you from bleeding out. You would have and should have died in the ambulance." his eyes looked up at the ceiling. "You should be paralyzed but here you are already sitting up after only hours of coming out of a two week coma." I look at him with a look of astonishment. "I always thought I was pretty lucky for some who doesn't belive in luck." I say with slight sarcasm. "Luck had nothing to do with it kid. You must have had a guardian angel." he says as he looks at me with wide eyes. I think back to the strange man who saved me but quickly shake it off. "Whatever it was in sure your family is glad you're alright." he says as he gets up. "Get some rest kid, I know sleeping must have made you tired." I laugh as he walks out the door. I'll need some rest before Alison gets here, I know I'll need it.
