"Big brother get up its time for school. Get up" Allison shook my arm and tried to tug me out of bed. For a 12 year old she was quite strong. I sit up on my bed and ruffle her hair. "I'm up sis, calm down." I smile softly and stand up as she runs out the door to go eat as I get dressed. I walk out to see mom and Allison at the table eating breakfast. "Your hair looks wonderful honey." Mom says jokingly, my hair a huge mess of bed head as I sit down to eat. "You look like a lion with a big mane." Allison giggled as she ate. "Ha ha, very funny." I smile and start to eat. Mom's cooking has gotten a lot better the past 5 years. I remember when she never cooked. I remember when dad was still alive. We've come a long way from then and we came out of it fine thanks to his parents generosity and everything he had already got us. Mom still wants to find a dad because she insist we need one but I'm 15 and I'm pretty much a dad to Allison so its no problem but she worries. She is our mother after all. "You two better finish getting ready so you don't miss the bus." Mom said as we finished our food. "I can't wait until big brother gets his license so we don't have ride the stinky bus." She smiles up at me. "Just a few more months sis, then I can try and get my license." She does her cute little bounce and smile widely. "Yay." She hugs me then runs off to brush her teeth. I grab our plates and take them to the sink. "Hey mom, please don't push yourself tonight. You've worked hard all week and you need to take a break. I'll clean the house tonight so don't worry about chores." She just smiles "Your to sweet Azazel." She smiles and hugs me tightly. "You grew up so fast. My little man." She smiles as a tear runs down her face. "Thank you so much." she says quietly "Your welcome mom." I say before finishing getting ready and taking Allison to the bus stop. As the bus pulls up I let Alison on first and I glance back at the house before following her on to our seat.
