Girlfriend Project Day 1

-Episode 2-

After Minjeong's last lecture ended for the day, she went home at around 4 p.m. When she got home, she ate, showered, and cleaned her apartment. The girl was tired so she went into her room and lay on her bed. After five minutes in bed, she realized her assignment with her partner. So, she got up and sat on her bed, took her phone from the nightstand next to her room, and texted her partner.

Minjeong: 'Hi, I'm Kim Minjeong from the Psychology of Sex and Love class.'

Minjeong: 'When can we meet for the assignment?'

Minjeong put her phone down and stared at her wall dazed.

After an hour she sent those messages, Minjeong was doing unfinished work for some of her classes when she realized Yu Jimin hadn't responded to her. So, she took her phone out and texted her once again.

Minjeong: 'If you check this text message, please reply to me!"

Another passed, and Minjeong was still doing her work. She was sipping out of her mug when she got a notification.

"Oh? I've got a message."

Yu Jimin: 'It's on Friday.'

Minjeong: 'What time are you free on Friday? And where can we meet?'

Minjeong sighed, stretched her fingers, and lay back into her couch. She grabbed her phone and looked at the messages. "Gosh, it's so hard to get in touch with her," she groaned, turning off her phone, setting it on the table in front of her, and banging on the keyboard of her laptop.

Another hour had passed since she last texted Yu Jimin. Minjeong sat on her couch, hugging her teddy bear while waiting for Jimin to text her back.

Minjeong got up immediately and grabbed her phone to check her message.

Yu Jimin: 'Kwangya. Let's meet there.'

Minjeong: 'Now?'

Yu Jimin: 'Yes, it's a must-eat place in Itaewon.'

Minjeong looked at the last text that Jimin, She sighed and leaned back into her couch. "Wow, she's so selfish. Does she think I'm at her beck and call?" She huffed out in annoyance and started hitting her teddy bear.

Minjeong stared at the building.

'This is a... must-eat place?'

Minjeong took one last look at the logo of the building and walked in. As she walked in, there were people dancing in the middle, music in the background, lights flashing around, a bar, and a lot of people drinking. She was looking around for the person who invited her and when she did, she saw her dancing in the crowd with a big smile on her face. She was having the time of her life.

As Minjeong continued to stare at her, the girl finally noticed her and shared eye contact with her for a few seconds before walking over to Minjeong. She grabbed Minjeong and pulled her to her table.

"You didn't get lost."

"This place is a restaurant?" Minjeong questions.

Jimin didn't answer and poured the both of them a drink.

"This is your drink."

"I don't drink much."

"Oh. That's boring." She scoffed, chucking down her drink.

Minjeong just stared at her and looked down at her drink, taking it down her throat. Her eyes squeeze as the alcohol burns her throat.

Jimin sits next to her and stares.

"What are you doing?"

Jimin links their arms together.

"No, what are you doing?"

"You wanted to take a picture?" JImin grabs her phone holding it up into the air and poses. Minjeong awkwardly poses out a peace sign with her face looking like a lost puppy.

"Mission complete!"

"What?"

" 'Taking pictures at a famous food place.' Are we done? Let's go dancing."

"I don't know how to dance."

"Of course, you can." Jimin tries to encourage her. "Come on~" Jimin grabs Minjeong and pulls the both of them to the dance floor.

As they got to the dance floor, Jimin turned Minjeong around so she could face her. Jimin held onto Minjeong's hands and started to sway them around. Jimin lets go so she can dance on her own. Minjeong started to clap her hands together. She can see how beautiful Jimin is.

Jimin had her hands in her hair, swaying it around, and swaying her hips.

A girl came and took Jimin away from Minjeong which caused her to stop clapping her hands together and awkwardly stood there. The girl was dancing with Jimin trying to get close to her. Minjeong then bumped into two strangers and bowed for a sorry. She cupped her face in her hands and started to walk back to the table with an awkward smile.

When Minjeong got back to their table, she saw how the girl and Jimin were dancing. Jimin had her hand on the girl's shoulder, swaying her whole body left and right. Minjeong saw how the girl with Jimin gave her a smirk. She felt a burning sensation in her stomach as she watches the scene.

Minjeong grabs the bottle of tequila and started to pour shots for herself. She saw how the girl whispered something in Jimin's ear, causing her to smile. Minjeong chugs down her drink, scrunching her face as she feels the familiar burning in her throat. She looks back at the two and sees Jimin grinding her back to the girl's front. Minjeong ignored them and continued to drink the whole bottle. She glares back at them again seeing them grinding on each other which makes her stomach hurt. She looked around the club and feel her vision getting blurry.

Jimin kept on dancing with the random girl, having the time of her life when she noticed Minjeong was gone. She looked around and found her sitting at the table alone, downing herself in shots. She pauses for a moment and tells the random girl she'd be back.

"You said you didn't drink much."

"Why do you care?"

"Did you drink the whole bottle?" Jimin frowns in disbelief.

"I can drink. I just don't drink often." Minjeong smirks.

"What are you doing? Come and dance with me." The random girl from before pleads. Minjeong feels her insides are burning.

"Okay, Later." Jimin responds.

"Don't say that. There's no alcohol here. Let me buy you a drink." The girl grabs Jimin's wrist.

"Stop that. I said I'll join later." Jimin says, obviously starting to get annoyed.

"What's going on? You were quite into me. Okay. I'm sorry-" The girl tried to grab Jimin's wrist but Minjeong beats her and interlocks her hand with Jimin's.

"What are you two?" The girl questions.

"She's my girlfriend," Minjeong answers coldly.

Minjeong drags Jimin away from the girl into a hallway in the club. The random girl standing there in disbelief.
