The Tale of the Guardian

"I-I think may nakalimutan kaming bilhin ni Ellie, diba?" Pinalaki niya ang mga mata niya. Signaling me to go with the flow.

I nod. Agad niya 'din akong pinatayo mula sa kinauupuan.

"I think so too" at nilingon si Flame na namumutla na. He was still shock. Pinanlakihan ko din siya ng mata.

"Tara na El, baka maubusan tayo" tumango ako. The group was silent, when I turn to look at him, he's looking at his plate, then towards  the silent group hanggang mapunta samin ni Asha ang tingin niya.

His chin is still resting on his palm but he's slightly looking up to me, since I am standing. He seemed, tired? Napakurap kurap ako at iniwas ang tingin.

'And that's how we survive' Asha's word, hanggang ngayon rinig ko pa 'din ang boses niya habang sinasaabi 'yun. Apparently, Twilight hates it when he's being paired with girls. He also hates aggressive type of girls.

"In short ayaw niya sa mga babae" Asha said nung makaalis kami sa restaurant na kinainan namin.

"So he likes men?" saad ko naman. Mabilis 'ding lumingon si Asha sakin  sabay iling.

"Hindi no! Basta something happened--wow! Masarap 'daw 'to sabi ni Leven" it was obvious that she's evading the topic.  

"Come on!" Asha's literally shrieking.

Today is the day the academy's gates are opening. Asha didn't even sleep just so she could conserve her mana. She told me that Level Sorting takes place every opening. It is where Casters would be distinguished where they belong in Levels. And the sorting will be in front of all Casters.

"Let's go!" She held my hand and we used this world's teleportation clock together.

And when we open our eyes, we could hear cheers from other students that used teleportation clock earlier than us. They were shouting and chatting with other casters. Liningon ko ang katabi kung si Asha pa ba. And I sigh when I see her and her wide open mouth.

She look at me with bright eyes. She is that happy to be here. I won't deny it, I'm also thrilled to be here. There's no such thing as this in Minirva. You raise yourself and train yourself. That's all it is in my world.

Saka ko lang napansin na nakauniform na pala ako. Those gray clothes and all from the first day I've barge into this world.

"Look! Kuya Light and the others are there!" She pointed the front row chairs. We are actually in an arena, there's also a stage in the middle and a strange looking ball in the middle of the stage.

"The Mana Meter" Asha verbalize what I've been thinking.

As the host opens his mouth, the whole arena vibrates. A Sound Spell, this is mostly used by a Caster with the Air Attributes.

"Welcome new and old students" he then looked at the front row students.

Asha told me that Casters with high mana levels are admitted earlier than those who have average mana levels. Just like Twilight, Flame, Ashly and Leven. They've been here for about 4 years, and the longest. That means, they have a high mana level.

"I know you all have been wanting to roam the inner walls of the academy so let's begin the sorting" the crowd cheered. Then the man in the middle of the stage started mentioning names.

"Ashly Bellue" the crowd cheered again, she's quite a celebrity. She was directly teleported in front of the mana meter.

"Show off" Asha playfully rolled her eyes but I could see how tense she is while her sister stand in the middle of the stage.

"It's weird when a mana meter measures a living mana meter" she joke and the man chuckled a little so as the crowd. Still, she put her hands on the crystal like ball. Then the ball turned color white.

"As usual! Level 1!" she wave her hand to the roaring crowd.

"She literally feels like a celebrity now, huh?" Asha's side comments.

"Flame Igneel" the red haired boy was teleported in the stage. He's waving and sending flying kiss to the girls who cheers for him.

He then put both his hands on the mana meter. The crystal like ball also turned white. That also means he is in Level 1.

"Leven Dale" Leven was teleported in the middle of the stage, put his hands on the mana meter and a fog immerged.

A fog in the mana meter means that you're at the 2nd stage of Level 1. If you clear that fog then you are out of Level 1 and out in the Academy's System. The system that will determine your rank next is the Castellian System. Ranks from Elite which is the lowest to Special which is the highest.  Well, he's still not out of the Academy's System so he is at Level 1.

Kumaway pa si Leven samin nung makita niya kami ni Asha. We are at the fifth column, though a bit far. It's amazing that he could still spot us when we are this far.
Sabay  kaming umiwas ng tingin sa kanya. At sa mga kuryusong mga mata na napatingin samin.

"Twilight MacMillan" the kid was teleported in the middle of the stage. He immediately put his hand on the mana meter, it didn't turned white nor any other color. It was just, transparent.

"Wow, Kuya Light must have train the hardest." Asha muttered.

He must have train his brains out. Yeah.

A transparent mana meter, it means you're already out of the Academy's System.

"Yes! A new Elite member of the Castellian!" There were fireworks booming and trumpets.

But he just smiled slightly. Turned his back when he got the badge that signifies an Elite member. Then got back in his chair.

"He ain't a celebratory type of person" Asha chuckled.

"He must have been tired from all of this"

A lot of names were called and according to what I witnessed. Color White signifies Level 1, Sky Blue signifies Level 2, Yellow signifies Level 3, Green signifies Level 4, and Black signifies Level 5.

"Asha Bellue" she immediately turned her heads towards me.

"Best of luck" then she was teleported in the middle of the stage. She put both of her hands on the mana meter.

She's closing her eyes too and when she opened them, she could see the faintest color of blue.

"Level 2!" I can't see her well but I could see her mumbling something. I flick my hands and use a Sound Spell.

'Liar' was all I could hear with all the cheers in the arena. Asha turned her back at her sister and she was teleported in the seats where Level 2 Casters are seated.

I wasn't in my right mind when my name was called. I was teleported in the middle of the stage and cme face to face with the mana meter. I wasn't sure what to do but I put my left hand at the crystal. My right hand is busy emitting mana. When I could see the mana meter turned blue, then I clutched my right hand tight.

"Level 2!" Before I'm teleported in the Level 2 seats I caught a glimpse of Ashly Bellue. But she didn't met my eyes, instead, the descendant of Night met mine.

• Sound Spell- could be a used to pass information. Just like using air for the information to travel fast. Or using it to fetch information. It inclines with the Air Attributes.
