Elocin
On a momentous occasion of love finding its way, Elocin was walking into the venue for her older brother Rome's rehearsal dinner. She walks around the room and greets the guests that have already arrived before taking her assigned seat.
As the seats begin to fill, she hears a commotion that involved her brother's voice. She looks in his direction and is shocked by an unexpected face. She gets up from the table to head over. When she is a few feet away, the familiar face turns in her direction.
"El, is that you?"
She smiles brightly. "Colt?"
He opens his arms up to her so she can run into them. He spins her around as they share a tight embrace. When he placed her back on the ground, their eyes lock on each other. They hadn't seen or spoken to each other in six years.
Being that when they were kids, the three of them; Rome, Colt and Elocin were inseparable, this reconnection was an important moment for all of them.
Their gaze lingers until reality sets in to the wonders eyes that were on them.
"I didn't know you were coming."
"It was a surprise. You know I wouldn't miss this." His smile spreads as he looks at her.
The sound of glasses clinking gets their attention. "Hey everyone. We are ready to begin. Please take your seats.
Throughout the dinner, they kept sneaking glances at each other. Speeches and videos were shared of the featured couple with absolute love and admiration. Gazing between them for seconds at a time only to lose focus of what is being said around them. Later on that night, Elocin was sitting at a table, enjoying the lively atmosphere. Taking in the laughter, deep conversations and love roaming around the room.
Colt adjusts his suit before approaching her table with two glasses of champagne. "Mind if I join you?"
She meets his eyes while smiling warmly. "Not at all, Colt. Please, have a seat." She gestures to the empty chair need to her.
"Thank you." He hands her on of the glasses before taking the seat. "You look stunning tonight." His eyes shifted from taking in all her beauty. "I don't think I've ever seen you like this before."
Blush rushes her cheeks slightly. "Don't play with me, Colt. You're making me blush." She giggled. "Don't you remember when I went to prom? I was dressed up then."
"I'm not playing. I'm dead serious. You look beyond amazing tonight." He takes a sip from his glass. "I remember you went but I wasn't there. I was in college during that time. Plus Rome never showed me pictures of how you looked."
