Damon's POV.
As I stepped back into Starbucks, Cyr was still flirting with Becca.
"Cyr, can we gooooo?" I whined. I only whine to mess with him, but it works.
"Fiiiine." He said bye to Becca and stood up.
We left and started to walk back home.
"So, Damon, you like her?" Cyr asked
I nodded.
"You actually asked her out?" He said a little louder.
I nodded.

Stella's POV
"I-I was uh, um, with, B-Becca." I stammered. I have a really bad stammering problem when I'm nervous.
My father hasn't been around since I was in 6th grade, and when he was, I was miserable.
I still had scars from before he left.
#Flash Back#
I had just gotten home from school. I was in my room.
"Stella, get your +++ in here!" My father yelled.
I slowly walked to the living room where my father always sat.
"Yes, daddy?" I said quietly. I was afraid. Last time he called me in here I got slapped because I forgot to bring my shoes in from outside.
My father had the most ridiculous standards. If you didn't meet them, he got pissed.
"Sit down." He pointed to the couch across from his chair. I sat.
"I'm upset, Stella." He began. "Do you know why?"
I shook my head.
"Well, maybe THIS will tell you why." He said, throwing a yellow envelope at me it hit me in the eye.
"Ow," I whispered. I opened it and it was my report card. I had all A's. I didn't see anything wrong.
"What, what's wrong, daddy?" I asked. I was really confused.
"That." He pointed at math. I had an B.
Oh, I forgot, he wouldn't be happy unless I had A's.
"Why is it that way, Stella?" He was getting madder.
"I-I, I don't know." I stammered. He slapped me.
"Why?"
I could feel tears stinging my eyes. I tried to hold them back.
"I really don't know, I'm doing my best in every class." I explained.
He picked me up by my shoulders.
"That's not good enough!!!" He yelled. He threw me down on the couch. I landed on the hard wooden arm, and got a large, deep scratch. It was bleeding.
"Go to your room, you're grounded until that's fixed." He said and sat back down. I ran upstairs. I was crying now, and I couldn't stop.
It was always like this. Ever since I was little. He beat me and then he'd act like he'd done nothing.
I ran into the bathroom.
I locked the door and dug through a drawer. I finally found what I was looking for and put it in my pocket. I ran back to my room and locked the door.
I pulled the small, sharp blade out of my pocket. I rolled up my sleeve.
I looked at my perfectly clean wrist, without any scars or scratches.
I slowly dragged the blade across my wrist, causing blood to come to the surface.
I winced at the pain, but I continued to do it. I hid the blade, and after what seems like hours, finally fell asleep.
#Flash Back Over#
"Well, we've got some catching up to do, don't we?" He sneered, grabbing my wrist and squeezing, hard.
I kicked him and he let go. I ran up to my room as fast as I could. I locked the door. I started to hyperventilate. I hadn't had a panic attack since my dad left, and I forgot what it felt like. I decided the best thing to do wasto call Bec.
"Hello?" She answered.
"B-B-Becca, h-help," I stammered trying to breath.
"Shh, Stel, calm down, what's wrong?" She tried to calm me down.
"H-He's ba-back." I managed to get out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Becca's POV.
"H-He's ba-back." Stella said over the phone.
Oh no. Her dad came back?!
"I'll be right there Stella, hang on." I jumped in my car and drove as fast as I could. I pulled up right by here house. I jumped out and ran up to her window.
I moved the vines climbing her house to reveal a ladder she put in a while ago. I opened her window.
She was sitting in a corner breathing fast. I grabbed her backpack that she always had clothes and a phone charger in just in case.
I walked over to her and got on my knees.
"Stel, Stel come on babe lets go." She got up and slowly walked over to the window. I let her go first and then climbed down.
We got in my car an drive off to my house.
She was still freaking out, so we went up to my room. I sat down on my bed and hugged Stella.
"Sh, Stella, you're safe here, he doesn't know where you are. You'll be OK."
Stella's POV
I spent the night at Becca's that night.
I had bruises from where my father gripped my wrist.
I got a text from my mom.
#Text#
Mom: Honey, where are you?
Me: At Becca's mom, I stayed here over night.
Mom: Ok. I'm going to pick you up. I got home yesterday to your father in the living room asleep. I ran up to your room and you weren't there, so I figured you left. I called the police and they came and arrested him. He's gone this time, I promise.
Me: Ok. Thnx, mom.
#Text Over#
My mom came to pick me up and as soon as I got home, I fell asleep.
