Painful Memories

As I was getting ready for school, paying extra attention to my looks for once for Adriens party afterwards,  I heard a knock on the door as Brianne De Chateau walked in with a smile on her face. "Morning Pawn." She smiled as I slung my backpack over my shoulder. 
"Morning Brianne." I replied, fiddling with my hair a bit. 
"A Saiyan paying attention to his hair, what did the Demon Realm freeze over?" Brianne giggled as I tilted my head. 
"It's Adrien's birthday today, we're planning to go round his after school for a birthday party so I want to at least look decent." I shrugged. 
"And you didn't think to ask me for help? I am hurt Pawnsnip." The warrior of love huffed as I rolled my eyes. 
"Better be heading off, see you later Brianne." I smiled as I opened my window getting ready to jump out of it. 
"You know you dont have to leave via your window...every day right?" Brianne asked shocked at how used I had gotten to leaving this way. 
"More fun." I simply remarked before jumping out my window, landing in front of a shaking Shinteru. 

As Shinteru was walking up to Pawnsnips apartment he was lost in thought, his brother was in danger and he was too busy celebrating a birthday instead of helping his brother! He then let out a sigh, he knew they were doing this for him but ignoring his brother in his time of need wasnt the way to cheer him up. As the scared teenager looked up to the sky, looking for any answers that came his way a figure jumped out of the second story window landing in front of him. 

"Morning Shin." I casually grinned, putting my arms behind my head as my stunned classmate started looking me up and down. 
"H-How are you not hurt?" He asked. 
"I do this every day, just ask Marinette or Alya." I laughed as we started heading towards school. 
"So Pawn...you promise after today we will head straight for Irota?" Shinteru asked as I nodded with a serious expression on my face. 
"Trust me, I want nothing more then to take down the bastard who kidnapped your brother...but running in full of rage wont do us any good." I sighed as way too many fights entered my mind. 
"But you want to find him though, so why don't we just ditch the party and head in?" Shinteru asked as I glared at him. 
"Don't be stupid, if you do that he will most likely pull the plug on your brother." I spoke, meaning every word I said as Shinteru lowered his head. 
"You're right...I am being stupid." Shinteru sighed as he stopped walking, I looked back to him and realized the gravity of what I just said. 
"S-Sorry Shin, I didn't mean to sound that harsh." I apologised as I lowered my head as well. 
"Don't worry, I know you're just looking out for me...but I just am scared, you know?" He replied as I slowly nodded my head. 
"Can I...tell you something I haven't told anyone before," I asked as Shinteru nodded "Over a year ago...I was in a similar situation your brother is currently in." I explained as memories flooded my mind. 

A feeling of emptiness rushed through my body as my eyes slowly started to drift close. I felt a hand slowly place itself on mine before I fell onto my back. Slowly looking up I saw a pair of Black eyes looking down at me, tears staining her cheeks as a small Elderly man covered communications with the newbie currently on a mission. "Please...Please don't leave me Pawnsnip." The Pink woman teared up as she grasped my hand tightly, pushing her head onto my chest as she cried. 
"Stop it...you know I'll just go back to my time even if the new guy fails." I coughed as she looked up to me. 
"But you wont be able to return, the rules of time would state so." She cried. 
"So? It doesn't invalidate what we have been through, even if I don't remember," I chuckled as I wiped the tears pouring from her eyes away "Besides, if this is my final moment with you I don't want it to be with you crying. It does not suit you." I laughed softly as she punched my chest before giving a brave smile as I slowly felt my body become whole again. 

"I was helpless...waiting to be saved as I looked into the eyes of the girl who gave me a reason to get stronger...All I could do was help her make a fake smile..." I said, giving a fake version of the story as to not reveal too much about the Time Patrol. 
"Pawnsnip I-" 
"Just...dont rush into this. We can't let your brother down." I smiled softly as we made our way to class. 

One boring school day later me, Adrien, Nino and Shinteru were standing at the bottom of the stairs to school chatting about the birthday party when Adrien spoke up. "About that guys...father wont let me have it, he thinks its better if it doesn't happen." Adrien sighed as I mentally facepalmed. 
"Why not?" I asked quickly, not wanting Shinteru to worry much however before we could continue a certain Blue Haired woman stumbled her way into the conversation. 
Looking down the stairs we see Marinette with a gift box behind her back and an awkward smile on her face. 
"H-Hi Adrien. U-Umm I gift a make- I MEAN!" Marinette stumbled over all her words until a pushy Chloé Bourgeois well pushed Marinette away as she forcefully pulled Adrien into a hug. 
"Oh my god Happy Birthday Adrien! The present I ordered for you has been delayed for whatever reason but I promise you it will blow your socks off." She pushily gloated as she hugged Adrien again whilst glaring at one of our classmates who was hiding behind a pillar terribly. 
"Why not give us a hint of what you got Adrien, you know some compensation for it being late." I smirked as the blondes cocky expression faded into that of a pale one. 
"U-Umm that would ruin the surprise, silly Shinteru." Our classmate chuckled awkwardly before leaving, getting into a car which was picking her up. 
"Hmm...I trust you guys will sort something out for the party, let me know when you sort something out. I wanna see something." I smiled as I left the group, heading up the stairs towards the pillar a certain teenager was hiding behind. 

"Oh no, what should I do...I know I'll order something for Chloé to give to Adrien, thats the safest bet." She spoke to herself, panicking. 
"I mean personally I'd look around the shops for something, delivery companies can be quite unreliable." I spoke up, leaning against the pillar. 
The bright haired woman jumped as she turned to look at me "Y-You're Adrien's friend, S-Shinteru right?" She asked as I shook my head. 
"No I'm Pawnsnip, Shinteru is with Nino and Adrien down there-" I looked down the stairs to see Nino and Shinteru walk away. 
"S-Sorry Pawnsnip...can I help you?" She asked as I shrugged. 
"I don't know, I think I might be able to help you though." I smiled as she tilted her head. 
"What...do you mean?" She asked. 
"I'd like to consider myself a close friend of Adrien, if you need help picking a present out I could always give you a second opinion." I smiled as the glasses clad girls eyes widened. 
"That's genius!" She gasped as I chuckled. 
"I know a couple people who would be shocked anyone called me a genius." I replied. 
"B-But wait how did you know I was going to-" 
"Chloé has a terrible poker face, she was glaring at you when she was hugging Adrien. I was definitely not the only one to notice." I smiled as my classmate pouted. 
"Don't speak so lightly of her, she is still my best friend you know?" My classmate sighed. 
"Sorry, by the way I don't think I got your name yet." I mentioned as the girl in front of me straightened her back. 
"I'm Sabrina, nice to meet you Pawnsnip." Sabrina smiled. 
"Well then, lets get searching." I smiled as we headed down the stairs and started walking to the local shopping district.
