Chapter Two~Moving Days

I woke up the next morning in my bed. I must have fell asleep on the couch while watching some stupid show on Disney again.

I looked at my clock that laid in the box next to me.

7:36?

I shot up and ran to my dad's room. We have to leave soon!

He woke up as soon as he heard me enter his room. "River? What's wrong?" He asked groggily. I pulled down the sleeves of my sweater and shrugged.

He stared at me before sighing and getting up to check the time. "Shit." He whispered. "Shit. Shit. Shit. HARLEY!" He repeated as he grabbed his bags and pulled up his pants.

I ran to my room to get my things all sorted out and organized while Dad and Harley just did their own thing.

When Harley came into my room and helped carry the heavy boxes, I knew we were leaving real soon. By real soon I mean an hour. At least that's what Dad tells us.

He says that the plane got delayed due to the snow. I highly doubt that seeing as it's Friday and there has to be school, it's Boston. Dad always told me that on Friday's there has to be school or we won't enjoy the weekend. I always thought that was a lie.

Harley came back in my room minutes later with snow covered boots and his gauges out of his ears. How odd. "You ready?" He asked. I sighed deeply and thought about it.

Would I really miss this place? Of course I will, Mom is here, but she said she'll be happier if we just went. Just leave her behind. I don't think we should. In my opinion, we should just stay and I could be homeschooled. That sounds a lot better than moving to a different country.

But I won't know anyone there... everything will just *poof!* Go away. I guarantee that.

Harley stood there for a moment while I over thought the situation, he always does. That's why he's my Har.

I reluctantly nodded and he smiled, "you'll enjoy it, I know you will. Plus, that Luke Brooks kid you dream about every night will be there!" He winked. I hurriedly grabbed my luggage filled with clothes and shoes with my carry on bag filled with electronics and ran outside to the snowy streets.

It looked prettier than I imagined, way colder than I thought. I sighed and tiny ice crystals formed as fog and I smiled as I plunged my face into my knit sweater.

Dad closed the trunk. "Are we all ready?" He sighed as he shivered. I opened my mouth, "yes! I can't wait!" I laughed. Harley came up behind me with his bags, "41. And me either! We're going to having a good fucking time and I'm going to make sure of it."

My dad shot Harley a glare, "Harley..." He warned. "Whoops," he sighed like a little boy, "I'm so very sorry, father, please oh please forgive me!" Harley imitated, well tried, a British accent. He ran up to Dad and hugged him like a boy in elementary school would.

"Alright alright, and son, we're going to Australia, not the UK." He laughed. "Difference?" Harley added.

I chuckled under my breath as the fog built up around me from the exhaust from the engine.

"What was that?" Harley huffed in and stuck out his chest like a body builder would. I shook my head and tried to stop smiling, but it's near impossible with Harley as your brother. I would say as your "dumb" brother, but he's actually pretty damn smart, not going to lie.

"That's it!" He picked me up by my feet and threw me over his shoulder. I immediately reacted and screamed of laughter. I looked over to the side of him and saw he was going towards a big snow pile by our old home.

I tried to squirm out of his grasp. "Put me down! Harley!" I tried to hold in another fit of giggles as he swung back and forth with each step. "Nu-uh! Not until you say you're oh-so-excited for Australia!" He remarked.

He knows how I work.

"I'm SO excited for going to Australia! I can't wait to meet Luke Brooks!" I answered.

He stopped right in front of the snow pile. I assume he's contemplating whether or not to throw me in, I say he's gonna.

"Harley." I whined and carried out the "Y". He grunted and put me down, feet first, into the snow pile. A wet sensation burned at my ankles. I shouldn't have gotten these cheap pair of boots.

Harley gave me a small, "hm!" proving that he was right; which he is. He always is.

I shivered as I walked back to the UHaul truck.

I couldn't in time.

Lauren Elden walked past with her posse of freshly fitted girls who have lingerie underneath for sure. "Oh, why it's River Webb! Your parents do know that River is a boy's name, right?" She snickered.

I looked down and nodded slightly. I looked at the girl to Lauren Elden's right and saw that she had  a Prada bag. How can they afford these things? We can barely afford to pay my lunch at school.

"We hear that you'e moving. How sad. I'll miss your worthlessness, you're really not that useful, you know that, right?" She asked.

I choked on her words. I'm worth it. Harley tells me so. I'm worth it.

I say it in my head multiple times, "I'm worth it. I'm worth it." But it comes out as, "just die. Just die. You're not worth it. Just die."

The girl to Lauren Elden's left groans, "your brother is just so hot. I'm glad I broke up with him, though; with you as his sister, I'm surprised he hasn't killed you yet. You're so annoying!" She spits in my direction.

Ouch.

"My brother got arrested Freshmen year because of you! God, you're pathetic. I hope your so called 'family' realizes that." Lauren Elden states.

Ouch times 2.

Say something, come on! Just say something that will make them regret ever talking to you, or even think about it! Or just slap them! Yeah, slap them! Punch them! Kick them anywhere! Do it, River!

I can't do it, I just can't. Not yet anyways.

"Where's your mom? Oh yeah, she died." Lauren Elden... I don't even know anymore. Lauren Elden smiles. She smiles. My mom died of terminal illness you cunt. Say it, River, she crossed the boundary! You know you can't handle this anymore, just say it before you die.

My depression speaks to me. I can hear it., feel it, but it can't make me talk.

My mind wanders back to when she was alive, we used to braid each other's hair and call each other names. Back when I talked.

I can hear my heart shatter and tears sting my eyes like thousands of wasps. I can feel it. Hear it.

"Hey River are you- what are you doing here, you fucking bitches." I can hear my brother speak up behind me. I shudder and fall to the ground not caring that it's covered in snow.

The girls back away in fear, but before they can, I hear something just above a whisper. "Kill yourself." I know it's not one of the girls. It's my depression.

Note: Oh hey wow hi. Hello. Buenos Dias. Merry Christmas. Anywayyy, I forgot to upload Harley's picture, of what he's supposed to look like, in the last chapter thingy, so I'll just do it for this chapter.
