Have you ever taken an afternoon nap, and when you wake up you have no idea what time, day, month, or year it is? imagine that feeling, but ten times more intense, and a headache thrown into the mix. It was as if I had the worst hangover ever. I felt my eyes slowly peel open, as I tried to sit up which I regretted immediately as my head started to pound harder. when I could finally muster up the strength to sit up against the headboard of my bed, i took a look around my room. the only problem was, this wasn't my room. I began to panic as I had no idea where I was. I look down at my attire, why was I wearing a bed sheet? no. Not a bed sheet. a hospital dress. why was a wearing a hospital dress? the pounding in my head was keeping me from connecting the dots, and only got worse as I opened my mouth to speak.
I watched as a nurse slowly walked by holding a folder, not noticing my apparent struggle and discomfort. in my moment of sheer panic, my eyes caught the sight of a red button. I didn't think twice before pressing it, not caring what it did but hoping it did something. I almost fell out of my bed at a loud noise that came suddenly. all could think as a bunch of doctors and nurses rushed into the small room was, ' I guess I found out what the button did. '
