I wrote this on a whim trying to make myself cry.

Sam gripped his hair, pulling him up roughly, "I'll kill Ranboo! I'll kill him."

His armor sat a few feet away, tossed at the threat of losing his son. Techno stood in front of them, looking helpless and trying to reason with Sam.

The last thing he heard was Techno screaming no, and the world became black. There was a small speck of light in the distance, and Ranboo pushed himself up to go over there, his footsteps echoing even though there seemed to be no floor.

It seemed though, that as he walked, the light got further away. He kicked it into a run, something in him telling him he desperately needed to reach that light. But it got further and further as he got faster.

Then it was gone.

The room faded into view, he was in their room, at their mansion. Tubbo walked into the room, tears streaming down his face, and Ranboo waved to him. He made no indication that he say it, before rushing out of the room.

Ranboo followed in tow, his steps light on the wood. "Tubbo?" He called, but Tubbo didn't acknowledge him. He quickened his pace, until he was right next to him, his husband was rooting around in a chest.

"Tubbo?" He tried again, and again, Tubbo ignored him. "I'm sorry if I made you mad." Ranboo doesn't remember what he had done, but then again, he doesn't remember much at all.

The brunette closed the chest and walked off, wiping tears furiously as he went. Ranboo followed him, he followed him until he walked out of the door, and into the rain. He watched as the brunette sat on the dock, and sobbed. Rain drizzling down from a gray sky.

Then Tubbo took off his wedding ring from his horn. He held it and looked up at the sky before throwing it into the water mournfully.

Ranboo ran out to ask him why he did that, or tried to, it seemed he couldn't get out of the door, it was open, but Ranboo couldn't leave, and the world outside seemed unreachable and muffled as he stood in the doorway, watching Tubbo.

After a minute, the brunette on the dock produced something else from his pocket, and Ranboo recognized it as his own wedding ring. Tubbo threw that too, and it landed in almost the same spot.

Why would he do that? Why did he get rid of their wedding rings? And why couldn't he leave the house?

Soon after, Techno came running over, and Tubbo stood up quickly. Why couldn't Ranboo hear their conversation? The dock was only about 5 feet from the house. The brunette ran back into the house with no problem, and the pinklet stood waiting. Tubbo blew right past him, almost running him over before the two left.

Ranboo placed a hand on the window, the drizzle picking up a little and turning everything dull.

Whatever happened, Ranboo knew that he was no longer in the picture. He saw pictures of the three of them disappearing from the mansion, and no one ever mentioned his name. Tubbo had moved on, and Ranboo hadn't.
