•Crisis City..•
"Silver! We need to act, FAST!"
Blaze had yelled out through the screaming and pushy crowd, and the city's rumbling.
Silver had simply nodded, letting the most of the people pass before he acted. He ran alongside Blaze, following the sound, the feel.. The flames.
"There's no mistaking it." Blaze said calmly, looking up at the monster of their time, Iblis.
"Are we going to repeat the sequence we alw-" Blaze stopped him as she gasped, and he looked over at her, seeing her wide eyed, alert, and on her toes.
"Blaze?.."
He sounded more concerned than he thought. He was about to circle around her, but saw it now. In her back. A shining dark arrow. "Mephiles!" Silver wrang out, knowing where the creature was without having to turn around.
"My, my.." Mephiles started, forming his dark body off the burning domain out from a dark goo-like substance, his expressions unchangably unamused. "What do we have.." He went up to Blaze, and grabbed her by the back of her throat. A pressure point, and Blaze didn't make a sound. She couldn't. Her eyes went wider, the restraints from Mephiles brought her pain.
"..Here?" Silver was sure if Mephiles had a mouth, he'd be smiling. Smirking, rather. Evily.
"What've you done?!" Silver had began to glow an aura. Not blue. Red.
"I've strengthened her abilities." Mephiles let her go, tossing her over so she'd stumble onto Silver.
"I give you three weeks. You will defeat Iblis." Mephiles began to turn away from the two.
Silver stared at what'd once been an arrow..
Instead of an arrow.. It was more like a belt around her. Around her waist.
"What if we don't?" Silver dared himself to ask, as he held onto Blaze gently, who was lying on the floor, eyes closed, breathing controlled.
Mephiles didn't turn back. "Then you lose her to the darkness." The demi-god snapped a finger, and Blaze yelped out in pain, falling to Silver's feet, her eyes shutting tighter, and gripping Silver's boot with a deathly strong hold.
He'd never seen her like this. Never this low. Never. "Blaze! Are you alright?!" Silver scrambled to sit down and comfort Blaze, only to see that Mephiles was gone.
"Blaze.. Are you alri-.." The hedgehog stopped himself, noticing something.
Every time she yelped or pained and showed it, it seemed the belt's darkess went over her back faster.
"Blaze. Blaze listen to me." His voice was gentle and soft, and he placed a hand over Blaze's forehead. "Calm down. You'll be alright. You like your strength to increase anyways, right?" He was trying to calm her with words. True facts.
It seemed to work. As he spoke, she slowly stopped struggling, trying her best to stop the pain, opening her eyes with a bit of an over-pained look, and smiled a bit. "You're so naïve.." It was almost a whisper. A croak.
"I know." Silver stood up, and held out a hand for Blaze.
The lavender cat smiled, accepting it.
