•Crisis City..•

"Silver, Iblis has moved over there!" Blaze called out, pointing at the rising lava. "He's heading for the safe part of the city, I can't effect him with my flames, but try throwing a boulder that far!"

Silver had a kinetic hold over five, rather huge, broken pieces of a wall. It'd have to do.

He went a bit closer to the edge, then thrust his hand across from infront of him. The rock flew far, but not far enough.

He tried again, same proceedure. A bit more power. Nope.

"Try stepping back, and think of it like.. Ski ball?" Blaze smiled over at him, his confidence returning.

For Blaze.. He thought. For her and the citizens. All of them.

Ski ball. Silver had played it once in the Past, as to Amy and Sonic inviting them to an arcade. It was amuzing how the pinkette was all over the azure hedgehog, but they mostly stayed playing Ski Ball. Amy had taught Silver how to play, and Sonic invited Blaze so he could teach her too, but she said she'd pass. Probably since Sonic would be so close to her if she said yes. She respects personal space.

Silver sheepishly, snapping back to the reality of disaster, feeling partly confident, smiled back. With a curt nod of his head, the boulder was tossed forwards, a slight scoop of an under-hand throw.

There was a loud roaring, and Silver and Blaze had to raise their arms to cover their eyes from the lava pieces flying everywhere.

"Quick! Do it again!"

The hedgehog was basically caught in her words, and had an auto-matic motion, something inside him forcing him to throw it.

It hit again. Now it was facing them.

Blaze didn't say anything to Silver this time, though. He looked over at her, and realized she was alright.

But that was only his first look.

He looked back instantly right after, now realizing the true problem with her. The darkness around her was turning a bit red. Was it because of Iblis? Or was Mephiles doing that?..

"Mephiles said.. He was.. Strengthening me.." She looked over at Silver, her eyes turning crimson for a moment, like the flames in a blood-like colour, then back to an ember shade of gold.

"Right?...." She held out her hand, and tried to produce a flame. She did it with ease, but there was something wrong with it.

"Blaze? Is your flame..."

"... Black..." Blaze took the word from him, inspecting it herself, too. She let it fade away, then placed her arm as if she was lazily reaching for the last wall piece Silver had, then she snapped her hand upwards.

" Blaze! " Silver was wide-eyed at her new ability, but it seemed to be able to have more purpose against Iblis than her own flames.

She just ignited darkness around Silver's psychokinetic hold. It surprised him to an extreme, and he accidentally let it go from his grasp. Blaze still had it, though. She threw it at Iblis instead.

There was a writhering screech through all of Crisis City, and Lava rising to bring an extreme heat. Blaze rushed herself to grab Silver's hand, and quickly bring him to higher ground. But that was when something out of ordinary happened.

Just as Blaze made the jump, all between the start and the landing, she was grabbed, and Silver was swung closely behind her. There was a squirrel. A flying squirrel. The squirrel swiftly landed them softly on the top of a tall builing, even after flying at intense speeds.

He let them stand on their own, as he brushed his hands together, a gesture people do when they just helped someone or helped themselves.

"Who are you?" Silver was the first to instantly break the silence.

"And why did you help us?" Blaze called in behind Silver.

The yellow squirrel was wearing a blue-jean jacket, sky-blue eyes, blue boots with a white line sliding through-- alike to Amy's boots, over hanging bangs like Tails', and a furry yellow tail. He was so bright and colourful, even the dirt and broken dust of buildings and everything of Crisis City hadn't got to his looks at all. Although, he was a bit short.. He just smiled, though, looking down at the two.
