PETER PARKER (8-2-7)
Falling through the Multiverse hadn't been on my to-do list today, but here we were. It was so weird being here, especially with another version of me. He looked kind of like me – brown hair, brown eyes... but we also looked kind of different, too. I guessed not everything would be the same – especially since we'd been through different experiences. I mean, this Peter had been with the Avengers for quite some time now, and I... I didn't really have anyone to share my superhero life with.
Peter, Y/n, and the guy with the metal arm led me to a spare room. I expected some sort of closet with a roll out mattress, but my jaw almost dropped when I entered the room they had for me. It was massive, bigger than my living room back home, and it had large windows, showcasing the city of Manhattan.
"This... this is for me?" I asked.
"Mmhmm," Y/n replied, smiling slightly at my surprise.
Even though the grin did not fade, I could tell that she and James were wary of me still. James's eyes never left me, watching my every move, and it kind of freaked me out. Y/n, however, seemed more curious than wary, and Peter was completely fine.
"So, how similar do you reckon our worlds are?" he asked me excitedly.
"Hmm, I dunno," I replied. "Only one way to find out."
We then started rapidly asking each other the exact same questions, as if we were the same person. Which we were. This Peter also had an Aunt May, and his parents and Uncle Ben had passed away. He lived in an apartment, though, and his friends consisted of MJ, Ned, and Y/n, while mine were Gwen and Harry. At some point Y/n muttered something under her breath about us being nerds and then left, James following, albeit reluctantly.
"Hey, I'll show you around the tower, if you'd like," Peter offered.
I nodded enthusiastically, and he began the tour. We still spoke rapidly to one another, and it was... easy. Almost as if we were brothers – something I'd always wanted.
He showed me most of the floors – the gaming/movie theatre floor, the common floor, the party deck, jet hangar, med bay, and the training rooms. That was where the tour concluded, and we entered the training rooms. Y/n was fighting against a man with long, dark hair, who wore a strange sort of green armour. They seemed pretty evenly matched as Y/n threw punches and he blocked them.
"That's Loki," Peter supplied from beside me.
"Loki, like... the Norse god's name?" I inquired.
Peter chuckled. "He is the Norse god."
I blinked in shock, looking between Peter, Y/n, and Loki. How was Y/n fighting a literal god, and doing so well at it? I remembered the way she got me down on the floor so easily, and watched her in awe. My sense went off a split second before the god launched a punch at her face, which she blocked, but he simultaneously hooked his foot behind her ankle, sending her tumbling down to the floor. He placed a polished boot on her chest, indicating his victory, before helping her up.
"Ah, shit," Peter muttered, looking at his phone. "Listen, man, I gotta go, I said I'd help May move some furniture around... Y/n can take care of you."
Y/n looked over at the sound of her name, and Peter had a few quick words with her before leaving, waving goodbye to everyone on his way out. Before Y/n could say anything, the elevator doors opened again and a man with an eye patch walked into the room. He looked menacing, and part of me wanted to put my guard up.
"So," he said, his eye assessing me. "You must be this new Peter Parker."
I looked at Y/n, who nodded. "Yes, sir," she answered.
