There were three things Damien Wayne learned while watching Finding Nemo with Percy. One; he likes to narrate everything the fish say when it's not words. Two; Percy Jackson likes any movie that's based under the sea. And three; Perseus Achilles Jackson cuddles in his sleep.

He had fallen asleep just more than halfway through the movie and Damien was stuck in place as the boy slowly moved more and more onto him, eventually ending up between Damien's legs with his arms around his waist. Another thing he could add to the list would be how soft Percy's hair is. Or that he scrunches up his nose when someone talks while he's sleeping. But those were just small things.

After taking a couple pictures of the sleeping man in his lap, Damien managed to scoot his way down the couch until Percy was resting his head on Damien's chest and Damien was able to sleep more comfortably.

Damien woke up first the next morning, a slight crook in his neck from the angle the couch put him in, but it was worth it for the man sleeping soundly in his lap. He was impressed that they hadn't moved much at all in their sleep. But Damien didnt pay much attention to that, instead he slowly carded his hands through Percy's hair, gently waking the boy.

Percy gave a slight groan, scrunching up his nose a bit before tensing like a bowstring. Damien couldn't react before Percy was suddenly towering over him, forearm pressed into his throat and the scariest look Damien had ever seen. And he lived with the Batman.

"It's alright, it's just me." Damien kept perfectly still, having experienced something similar with Todd.

"Damien?" Percy asked, suddenly sitting up fully and rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Oh shit! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to — did I hurt you?"

"You didn't hurt me. Are you okay?" Damien had a worried glint to his eyes that Percy took note of despite the reassuring smile on Damien's face.

"I'm fine."

"Well that's just great," a voice spoke from the doorway leading to the kitchen. The soulmates jumped apart at the voice and Percy wound up on the floor.

"'Pollo?" Percy asked, confusion dripping from his voice.

"The one and only." Apollo grinned, "you really should make a habit of locking your door at night. I've been here for hours."

Percy only rolled his eyes, "what brings you here anyways?"

"Your dad sent me to vibe check your soulmate. Vibes have been checked, he passes." Apollo shrugged, "though I would advise getting dinner with him soon, he doesn't like not being able to play the intimidating dad role."

Percy stood from his place on the floor, "how's everything?"

"Boring as always. Council meetings out the wazoo, I don't even have time to come up with new haiku's."

Percy grinned, lightly shoving Apollo's shoulder, "sounds like a blessing in disguise if you ask me."

Apollo scoffed, "anyways, I'm Apollo, Percy's cousin and Therapist. I'm the one that convinced him to reach out to you."

Damien gave the man a handshake, "it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Damien Wayne."

"I know." Apollo narrowed his eyes a bit, "you and I need to have a little chat."

"Oh, boy."

Percy made pancakes while Damien and Apollo talked in the other room. He didn't care to try listening in, already knowing it was likely the most intense shovel talk that Damien could imagine — which would be knocked out of the park as soon as Poseidon was able to visit. When they returned, Apollo looked way too pleased and Damien a bit too traumatized.
