Reflection

❀Felix's Pov❀

As we drive down the road,I can't help but to notice that Hyunjin seems a bit more tense than what he normally is. There is something on his mind,I want to help him but at the same time,I don't want to pry. He will tell me when he is comfortable.

Hyunjin parks the car on the side of the road as he unbuckles his seatbelt. "It might be a slight bit of walking but I promise that it will be worth it" He warns me as I get out of the car following him.

"How far is a slight bit of walking? What if we get lost?" I ask him as he turns around with his eyebrow up before bursting in a fit of laughter.

"Felix,I promise that we will be okay. I have been here too many times to count when I was in High school" There is a strange expression on his face when he says this as his eyes drop to the forest ground.

He shakes his head before taking my hand and bringing me deeper into the forest. After a couple minutes of walking,that seemed like eternity, we reached a big lake where the only thing that can be seen is a mass of water and forest that most likely stretches on for miles.

Hyunjin takes his sneakers off tossing them to the side as he walks up to the pier sticking his feet into the lake water "Lixie,come on, come enjoy the view" He bends his head back looking at me. He is in a slightly playful mood which is completely adorable.

"I can see the view from here" I tell him as he gets up picking me up and putting me over his shoulder as I try to 'resist' him aka playing with him as he tries to take off my shoes "I swear you and Minho are like a small group of cats"

"Cats? Excuse me but I still take showers,that still counts as getting in water" I fuss at him even though I used to swim all the time back when I was living in Australia I just want to play around with him a bit.

"Bi-" He takes a deep breath out as he places my shoes over there beside of his which makes me smile even more. It reminds me of a married couple or people who live together but I guess he couldn't put it where we couldn't remember where it is either.

Hyunjin carries me over to the pier, sitting me down on the edge before sitting down next to me with his large hand on my upper thigh. I feel my face heat up as I become aware of where his hand is but when I look at his face,I can tell he is lost in thought.

"I used to come here a lot when I was a Freshman in high school but I stopped coming here when I was last summer to be exact I would come here sometimes when I was missing my brother because it felt like I was still with him"

There is a great amount of sorrow in his voice now, I have a feeling I know where this is going. "What happened?" I hope it's something like he is in the military or moved away but I have a feeling that it isn't

Hyunjin sighs softly as he swishes his feet in the clear water before saying "He died in 2021, I tried to help him...I did but he was too deep in that crap" Hyunjin lays his head on my shoulder as I wrap my arm around his shoulders.

He starts up again explaining what happened "Sunwoo was the troublemaker of the family, I was introduced to his friend group after he thought I was ready for it, he was my older brother"

Now I know by the way that he is using was that Sunwoo is dead. "I would hang out with him every weekend here. Except on the other side of the lake since that's the deeper end" Hyunjin laughs quickly

"He would dare me to do some stupid shit but with him, nothing seemed stupid at first and more of fun. One night he was hanging with his friends and well they were a bunch of delinquents. I was for a while there too"

Hyunjin takes off his shirt showing a scar on his shoulder but they are covered by tattoos now. There are at least 6 tattoos that I can see on his upper body. "Until one night it went too far,I knew it was dangerous and yet something told me to go"
