Wednesday had come around and the news that Alexander was the new assistant for Quinn at Black & Co. was buzzing in the media more than any other current story.

"Her company is supposedly composed of all women! Well what happened here?"

"Is there something brewing between the two former rivals?- What possessed Quinn to make this decision? Love maybe?"

"Alexander was desperate enough to turn to his rival for help!"

Quinn sighed and buzzed for her assistant and she held up the tabloids when he appeared. "Have you seen these?"

His shoulders dropped. "Have I?" He asked sarcastically. "They're everywhere."

"Throw them out please." Quinn insisted.

"Y'know," Alexander said as he collected the magazines. "You're back at number one."

"Yeah." She attempted to smile then rolled her shoulders back lazily. "It feels good."

"You're tired." He frowned and set the issues back down on the desk.

"Business requires sacrifice." Her head fell back against her chair. "That sacrifice-" her own yawn interrupted her. "Was and always has been sleep, and relaxation."

"This is what assistants are for," His voice was behind her now. Her eyes flew open and she tensed.

"Mr. Irons-"

His hands rested on her shoulders. "Relax." He whispered lowly.

She did, and he began to knead and rub in all the right places. Quinn let out a long satisfied moan as he'd hit the spot she had been having the most pain in.

"That feels so good," She leaned into his hands.

"My grandmother she uhm-" he cleared the huskiness from his throat. "She was a masseuse, and I learned a few things."

"Tell your grandmother, I said 'Thank you.'" She laughed airily.

"You're still really tense." Quinn could hear the amusement in his voice.

"You're not someone that I particularly trust yet." She drawled. "Don't make me miss my meeting."

He chuckled. "I wont."

Quinn fell into a light sleep as the hands of her rival massaged her into bliss.

...

Quinn jumped awake at the sound of an abrupt knock at her door.

"Come in," she croaked and the door swung open to reveal a panicked Henrietta.

"Miss, you-" Her eyes traveled above Quinn's head and she followed them. She snickered. Alexander had fallen asleep standing over her chair. She wished he was like this all the time. Quiet- at least.

Quinn lifted her hand to shake his arm. "Hey," She whispered and he didn't respond. She sighed and turned to Henrietta. "Did you need something.

"Your meeting starts in fifteen minutes. I was just reminding you; You're usually already out."

"Thank you. I'll be on my way as soon as my assistant wakes up." She nudged him again.

Quinn huffed when Henrietta left her office. "Alexander." She said.

He let out a throaty groan. "Quinn,"

She inhaled sharply, and her stomach flipped. Quinn shook her head. She must have been sick. Now irritated, she stood out of her chair and pushed it in the process. "Wake up." She grunted.
