" I don't believe a woman is capable of running a multi million dollar company, much less a multi billion dollar one."

She growled and slammed her thumb down on the channel button for almost the tenth time in the span of fifteen minutes, only to see the same man again.

"Black & Co. will not last." The man stopped and shook his head, before flashing his irritating smile. " I'm sorry. Quinn Black will not last. Black & Co. Enterprise will thrive, and I can bet money on that."

Fed up, she shut the tv off. It would stay that way for a couple days, until the media got tired of that story. Looking at the clock, she decided that it was time to get ready for work.

"Sam," Quinn warned the adult golden retriever when she entered her room. "We already had our play time-"

"Sam!"

"He's in here Lisa!" Quinn called out to her housekeeper.

"Oh Miss, I'm so sorry." Lisa lured the dog to her with a treat, to which he replied with a happy bark.

"It's fine," Quinn tried to smile, but failed and rushed to the showers to get ready.

"Good Morning, Miss. Black." Gage, her driver smiled at her via the rearview mirror.

She sighed. "It's not a good morning Gage."

"And why is that?" He frowned.

"Alexander Irons is why." She cringed at the at the disgusting watered down coffee. "Not to mention this coffee tastes like-"

"Would you like to stop and get some more, Miss?" Gage knew the next word that was about to tumble out of her mouth so he spoke up.

"No, I need to get to the office. For future reference, do not interrupt me - its infuriating." She gritted out.

"Of course, Miss."

"Good morning Miss. Black." Her lobby desk greeted.

"Morning," Quinn sent her a tight lipped smile.

"Good morning Miss," a few other employees greeted and she responded with a curt nod before she finally got to her office.

When she approached her desk, she glared at the couple stacks of magazines and newspapers. On the front of these read,

'Rival CEO, Alexander Irons declares that a woman cannot run company.'

'Irons industry takes a jab at Black and Co.!'

And...

'Is it tough love? Alexander teases rival Quinn Black about her company.'

Tough love?! Teasing? Quinn could hardly contain her urge to throw the cheap papers on the ground and destroy them with her red bottom heels.

Quinn pressed the button for her office assistant.

"Good morning, Miss. Black!" The redhead chirped.

"This," Quinn waved at the various tabloids, "Isn't a good morning. Why are they all here?"

"They were sent to you," The assistant frowned.
