There were still some indications of his Angelic blood, of the time when he was still a Seraphim.

The first clue was his wings. Demons, true Lilith Born, did not come with the ability to fly, because Lilith herself didn't in the first place. Only the Seraphim Fallen could still materialize wings, and there were only two of those. Of those two, the only one that was publicly known was Lucifer, or Samael.
All of the other Fallen, the lesser angels, had had their wings burned upon contact of Hell. And nobody bothered to take a second glance at someone as low as Crowley.

The second clue was his eyes. Part of the reason he'd hidden them was out of shame, and also embarrassment. Once, on Heaven, his eyes had been the colour of shifting gold and bronze hues, a sea of orange and yellow.
But living in Hell, watching over his little brother like a shadow, had forced him to adapt to whatever the others had. By the time he'd been sent to Eden, his eyes has turned a solid amber, and his pupils had thinned into serpentine slits.

The third, and perhaps most obvious, was his innate love of children. He was, by a strange technicality, still God's Healer, just Lucifer was somehow still God's Punisher and Beelzebub was still somehow a Judge. That one was a little more complicated, a little further beyond mortal comprehension. And because he was still a Healer, he still had a level of compassion and kindness only competed by Aziraphale's love, seeing as he was the literal Protector of humanity.
