The subway train, which had been rumbling along the track slowly, stopped around halfway past Dongho Bridge.

The survivors stood up and looked at the scene taking place outside. The ruined Seoul and collapsed buildings. Monsters reminiscent of a giant sea snake were eating the wreckage of a fighter jet that had crashed into the Han River.

"W-What the hell...!"

That snake thing looks kinda like a dinosaur... I thought to myself, amused as one of the ichthyosaurs looked in our direction.

"U-Uwaaah! It is coming!" Someone screamed their lungs out at the approaching monster. Geez, calm your farm, man. That thing wouldn't attack us... I hope.

Thankfully, the snake-like creature circled around the bottom of Dongho Bridge before vanishing into the depths of the water.

[Compensation settlement is delayed due to an unexpected scenario check. Please wait.]

I ignored the system's robotic voice as I walked back to where my other belongings remained in my backpack. I looked down at Kim Namwoon's body as I passed it, which only had the torso remaining.

Ah... oh well. He was just an annoying emo teenager anyways. If kept alive, he probably would've killed everyone else.

[Due to the death of the incantation: <Kim Namwoon>, two constellations show a faint hostility to you.]

Oh, shut up, you wannabe star signs. While you're at it, read my horoscope for me, please. On a more serious note though, what in the world was a constellation?!

[A handful of constellations admire your scenario.]

[The constellations have sponsored you 500 coins.]

Ooh... free money? I guess these constellations aren't half bad. You better pay for this once-in-a-lifetime show, then.

"...Dokja-ssi? Byeol? Are you two okay?"

I looked up and saw Sangah-ssi's state. Her shoulders were sagging. Blood covered her white blouse and there was a run in her stockings. Luckily, she didn't seem like she was injured.

"Yeah, I've never been better. How about you, Dokja-ssi?" I smiled as I playfully nudged the older man in the ribs. Even though we've only met for a few minutes, it seems like I've known him for a lifetime. I wonder why...

"...I'm sorry. I couldn't save the grandmother." Instead of answering, Dokja-ssi turned his attention to the grandmother's body, missing her head. I followed his gaze and grimaced before looking away.

Yoo Sangah looked at us with a complicated gaze.

"How are you two so..."

"Yes?"

"Ah, it is nothing. Rather... Thank you."

"What do you mean?"

"That, I..."

I zoned out as the two conversed, staring at the apocalypse-like scene outside of the windows.

[Wow, amazing.]

The annoying dokkaebi's voice snapped me back into reality as it appeared in thin air.

[What on earth happened here? I was just watching the other carriages...]

There was a mixture of delight and surprise on the dokkaebi's face. Twinkling stars floated over the dokkaebi's head. What was this guy? A CHRISTMAS TREE?

[For 22 people to be connected to my channel... Haha, isn't this quite good? Gosh, thank you for your sponsorship, dear constellations. Haha, everyone! Did you properly show off your value?]
