Hiatus

Hey everyone,

I've been feeling really burnt out and unmotivated lately, so after consideration, I've decided I'm putting this book on hiatus for the foreseeable future. Perhaps I will come back and re-edit my work if I have time. I apologise.

In the past few weeks, I've done some thinking, and concluded that my current writing skills are not on par with my expectations. I reread my writing with much criticism and with every word, the seed of doubt and frustration in my heart gets larger.

I started writing this book as a pastime, a hobby. But doing so now no longer feels stress relieving, but rather a burden itself.

It's just a mess: there is no plot, no character development, nothing. It doesn't even have a proper plan or ending.

I still refuse to end this book completely however: I realise I've spent hours, if not days, trying to spin a story with an ending not only to my satisfaction, but to you, the reader's satisfaction too.

But I see now that it is too big of a task for one person to handle. Even the original ORV was not able to fulfil the happily ever after ending. Even ORV, the very work I looked up to, could not create an ending everyone was satisfied with.

I want to work on my writing skills, to improve until I can look and my stories with a proud gaze instead of an uncertain one.

So I end my message with a heavy heart, and perhaps a final goodbye. Perhaps this will be the last words in this book I was so excited to write about.

To everyone who's still bothered to read my mindless midnight ramblings, thank you. I really appreciate your encouragement and support in the last few hundred thousand words, for just deciding to read this whole thing in the first place.

Maybe I'll pick up a pen and start writing again sometime. Maybe just not about this story.

I'm sorry of any readers were disappointed with the abrupt end of "Star Stuck." Again, I apologise.
