Uther Pendragon is once again ruler of Camelot. But when Merlin's magic is revealed Gwaine and Lancelot both take the blame to protect their freinds
Can Merlin save them before it's too late?
Arthur Pendragon the impatient man he was stood there just that impatiently in his bedchamber, before pacing the length of the wooden floor.
Sorry your Royal Pratness Evina and Merlin said in perfect unison as they burst into Arthur's bedchamber without knocking as they always had.
He was due to be in a council meeting in half an hour and only now had the siblings burst clumsily into the room a plate of lunch in Evina's clumsy hands in case it hasn't occurred to you I have a council meeting in half an hour which because of you two I will be late for Arthur groaned in exasperation.
Morgana woke screaming Distraught, she ran outside barefoot as the hunting party prepares to leave. Arthur don't go don't face the Questing Beast please something's going to happen Arthur I've seen it. But of course Arthur wasn't listening.
He urged his horse foreword before Morgana could beg either Leon or prince Andrew not to face the Questing Beast.
Somehow the three knights of Vernum had found them and had followed the small party Elvina on the back of Gwaine's horse the small party had included Prince Andrew, Prince Arthur Merlin Evina and Leon
Quietly the three knights of Vernum Sir Percival Sir Lancelot and Sir Gwaine walked through the questing beast's cave Elvina Lancelot told to wait outside.
But unfortunately the questing beast wasn't the only thing they had to worry about as there was also a Griffin.

Lancelot thrust his sword foreword and it landed in the Griffin's flank, which slows it, if not stops it. It turns angrily towards him.
Merlin should have used magic, even though it was in front of the other knights. He acted without thinking,though, ramming into Leon, forcing him aside. ( There was only Lancelot, Merlin Evina and Leon in the small part of the cave)
Just then Evina's eyes glowed like molten lava throwing Merlin backwards.The beast's teeth sank into her chest causing Evina to yell in pain, but only for a moment as she sagged into Merlin's arms.
Evina! Merlin shouted crying as he cradled his sister in his arms
"Merlin..." I don't Tell you this enough.... Evina don't talk save your strength Evina weakly shook her head I love you.... Little brother.
No! No! Evina! Please don't leave me please Merlin cried as Lancelot fell to his knees while Leon pulled Merlin into his arms.
I'm sorry Merls there is no cure for a questing beast's bite Leon said holding the shaking boy in his arms
"We need to get her back to Camelot" Leon said NO! Lancelot shouted glaring up at Leon and if looks could kill Leon would be dead she comes back to Vernum. Leon sighed pulling at his curly red hair I'm not going to hurt her King Uther is on the verge of death and Prince Andrew is a kind person despite being the current king's brother and is next in line for the throne..... Before he could say anything else Leon felt a sword at his throat only it wasn't Lancelot's it was Gwaine's.
What did you do to princess Evina? No.... nothing Leon stammered his voice dropped as he said "We need to get her back to Camelot Morgana and Guinevere would want to say goodbye. And so it was decided that they would go to Camelot to let Morgana and Guinevere say goodbye.
They reached Camelot by nightfall Lancelot with Evina in his arms slid off his horse and carried Evina into the castle fighting back tears as he did following Percival and Gwaine to Morgana's room at least where they remembered where her old room was.
Leon didn't ask how these knights of a magical Kingdom knew their way around the castle unless both knights had been here before had they? Gwaine raised his hand to knock I can't do this Gwen won't want to see me and so it was Percival who knocked.
He took a deep shaky breath before he knocked on the door Morgana Pendragon opened it almost immediately dressed in a nightdress
Percy is that really you? Morgana asked as Percival fell into her arms crying. I failed Percival sobbed as Gwaine fell into Gwen's arms sobbing to we all failed . Guinevere looked startled until she saw the recognizable shaggy brown hair I failed her and I failed you Gwen Gwaine sobbed. Oh Gwaine Guinevere said running her hands through the knights hair.
I know you Gwen Morgana and Prince Andrew would like to say goodbye Lancelot said causing Gwaine to sob even harder Percival had already cried himself dry but Gwaine still had a lot more tears to shed.
Goodbye? Goodbye to who? Morgana and Guinevere asked. Evina Gwaine cried and it was only than that they saw her limp in Lancelot's arms.
I told you not to go up against the questing beast I told you something bad was going to happen Morgana shouted turning on Arthur her eyes brimming with tears while Gwen was already like Gwaine in hysterical tears in the comfort of the mans arms.
I'm sorry Gwen, Gwaine sobbed once again apologizing to Guinevere it was all Gwaine seemed to do through his big racking sobs Gwen knew where Gwaine would go after this Gwaine would want to go to the tavern maybe Gwen would join him.
O, Dragarn! E male, soi ftengometta tesd'hup anakess! Erkheo! Non intende karg e massaed fulacson! Merlin shouted as he Gwaine and Lancelot ran from the Dorocha Gwaine had fallen slightly behind.

Lancelot brave selfless Lancelot looked at Merlin one last time before stepping through the veil before Merlin who was just as brave and selfless as Lancelot could take his place.
The veil had appeared second's after Evina had gotten bit releasing the dorocha into the world and it was as the veil closed Evina gasped as life returned to her.
Merlin couldn't move he was frozen to the spot the tears that slid down his cheeks soaked Gwaine's hair as Gwaine pulled Merlin into his arms his shoulders silently shaking as he cried too. Merlin couldn't speak
Gwaine would want to go to the tavern after the death of his friend maybe Gwen Evina and Elvina would join him.
Merlin I'm going to the tavern if you'd like to join me Gwaine said his voice shaking.
We met at a tavern Merlin smiled looking at Gwaine with tears in his eyes Elvina and Evina had tagged along Merlin could tell his twin sister loved Lancelot it was obvious and now he was gone.
