The eye contact was intense. While Akk's eyes were filled with guilt, were Aye's just pure rage. His eyes were always dark, but in the sun they shined in a light brown. But now, not even the sun could save Aye's two orbs. It was as if there was a big rain cloud over his head. It only would need seconds until the storm would start.
Even though Akk wanted to say something, he just didn't know what. Every word which was in the little circle of options he had sounded bad. And the longer Akk thought about it, the worse they would get.
"Can we-" Akk started. But clearly these words weren't the right ones since Ayan cut him off mid sentence. "No. I ain't doing any more works. Not as long as I didn't do anything wrong."
The taller boy wanted to say something like 'Oh well? Then stop wearing that ugly hoodie all the time and follow the damn rules, you idiot.' But he held himself back. He wanted to apologize. Not making the situation even worse.
While that, Aye continued to stare at Akk. His mood didn't seem too well since he didn't get much sleep last night. But how could he know that his pills were out? It happens so fast that suddenly the package get' empty.
After about three seconds, Akk began to talk again. "It's not that. How about..." He fastly looked around to see if there was anything to do while apologizing. "...we go on a little walk. Just the two of us."
'Okay, Akk. This was the dumbest thing you were ever saying. Now it sounds like you asked him out! Ugh... Can't I do anything right once in life? How do I save myself now. Telling him that it was a misunderstanding would sound weird and unprofessional. But not telling him means that he probably thinks this is a date! And since he hates me, the chances are too low that he'd still say-'
"Okay."
'What? Okay? He really agreed? Does he know that this wasn't meant to be a date? Does that mean he has a crush on me!? No, never. Akk, now you are thinking too much again. He probably just noticed what my intentions were. Just don't think too much. And anyway, who would ever go on a date by walking around the school campus? Clearly, this wouldn't be a date and Aye's eyes.'
As Aye said that, his guilty face turned into a guilty smile which looked even weirder now. Well, that cannot stop Akk now. He already came so wide. He only has to go on a little walk, apologize and that's it. What should go wrong?
Akk slowly began to walk, expecting Aye to follow him. And so he did. While Akk was on the left, was the clearly shorter boy on his right. Cause Aye had his backpack thrown over his left shoulder, it constantly touched Akk's arm, which was quite a weird feeling for him.
Finally, Akk began to speak. "So, Ayan. I know I sound stupid right now. But I really want to..."
"Apologize?" Aye ended the sentence for Akk. Which was a little support for the younger.
Akk's gaze turned away from Aye onto his own shoes and how he was making steady steps, almost synchronous with Aye's. But that changed quickly since Akk's steps were a little bit bigger than the ones from his.. probably enemy.
He nodded slightly and looked back at Ayan. "Yeah, I want to apologize. Could you maybe let me explain? I wanna make some things clear." There was an unsure smile on his face which disappeared as Ayan nodded.
"So, you already said it several times that I was like a robot to use for the teachers. And.." He gulped. "I was told to do these things to you so you would leave this school since you were quite dangerous to it. Chadok sometimes cares more about that "Best School" price than his own students. I was just scared that I would lose my title as the head prefect of Suppalo. But, today Khan and Wat made me clear that I was just like Chadok. And then I remembered that since teacher Chadok wasn't doing a good work as a teacher, I should do an even better work as a head prefect for my students. And since you are also a student here I decided to speak up for you."
