Sorry, guys, for taking forever to post a new chapter. I'm working on it, I promise!

Recap:
The man in her doorway finally spoke. "Harper, what the hell is going on here?"
It was Adam.
*****
"Uh.." Harper mumbled, at a loss for words. Bryson looked equally as surprised. He discreetly fixed her clothes, Harper not looking at him, while Adam rose an eyebrow.
"I saw that, you know." Bryson's cheeks got warm. He got off of Harper and stood up, standing a good distance from Harper.
"I-I am so sorry. I'll just.. uh.. go now-" he said, but stopped at Adam's withering look.
"You're not going anywhere. I want to know why you were feeling up my sister."
Harper just sat there on the couch, her whole face hot, not saying a word. Adam stepped closer, and she flinched.
"I'm sorry, Adam. But why are you bursting into my house randomly?" she turned and raised her eyebrow, looking eerily similar to his. Adam cleared his throat.
"Well it's not hard to smell all the almost-sex going on in here, and I was already on my way. It's not my fault I happened upon this." He looked at Bryson again, his eyes hard. "Harper, why don't you go take a shower or something, you smell like sex, and I want to vomit." His eyes hid a smile behind them, but he kept that hard look on his face.
Harper crossed her arms over her chest. "What, so you can beat him up in my front room? No way."
Adam growled. "Harper, now." Harper's eyes widened at her brother's tone of voice, and she nodded before scurrying off in the direction of her room. Bryson heard the muted noises of Harper turning the shower on. He frowned at the thought of her washing his scent off of her, before remembering Adam's gaze on his face, and dropped the frown.
"So..." Bryson started.
"Are you my sister's mate?" Adam said bluntly. Bryson's heart stuttered a bit. Adam didn't play around.
"Yes," he said, and looked at the ground.
"You know why that could a problem, don't you?" Adam said, his voice softer. Bryson looked up at him and sighed.
"Yes I know. I don't know what to do. They don't usually have mates," he murmured, and crossed his arms over his chest.
Adam grunted a sound of agreement. "Yeah, 'usually' as in 'never'. This isn't a run of the mill mating. I think you need to call your father and figure out what's going on before you go any farther with my sister. I mean, I'm glad that she got you for a mate, but no one's good enough for her. Especially if it's abnormal for this even to be happening right now." Adam trailed off, not knowing what else to say. He wasn't happy that he hadn't known about this sooner, or thati t was even happening. Sure, he was glad that his sister would have someone to be with forever, but he didn't want it to be taken away from her if this all went south.
Then he remembered Jason, and his gaze went sharp again. "Especially when.." he couldn't finish the sentence. He scented the air, trying to detect something developing inside Harper, and found nothing. "She's not pregnant from..." he muttered, and his eyes widened. Now that's REALLY abnormal, he thought.
Bryson kept his mind off of what Adam was talking to himself about. He knew. That Harper and Jason had sex, and she wasn't pregnant. It had already made its way through his brain, and with no solution form him, either. It was just not real. She had to have gotten pregnant, it was the only option. But since she didn't.. It confused Bryson to no end. He sighed.
"I guess.. I guess I'll just have to call my dad. Please don't mention this to anyone, okay? I can't have this getting around. I mean.. I just.." he pulled at the ends of his hair furiously, trying to find the right words. "I don't want this to be put on Harper, but I know it will if it gets out. I don't even want to know what people will think."
Adam nodded absently. "I really hate you for this, but I want to agree. We need to figure out why or how this happened. Go call him. Let me know if you find anything out, okay?" Bryson nodded and made his way out the door, closing it softly behind him. He still felt a burn in his chest, probably from all the lust and physical feelings he had just shared with Harper and didn't get to finish.. Bryson sighed in contempt, and walked away from Harper's house.
