╰┈➤  scott had facetimed gabriela that night, showing her his abdomen, a huge chunk bitten out of him by what he claimed to be a wolf. the girl had tried to explain that there were no werewolves in california, and hadn't been for over 60 years, but he was insistent. after a while of back and forths on the subject, the two called it a night, gabby however watched an episode of 'gossip girl' before going to bed, she couldn't help it, she was obsessed. but all the while when she was watching, she could only think two things; is scott okay? and what if it truly was a wolf?

stiles picked up gabriela the next morning, driving her to school for their first day back. they spotted scott and approached.

"okay, let's see this thing." stiles requested, referring to the bite on scott's person. the boy lifted his shirt, showing his friends a large, dressed wound, blood seeping through the bandage. stiles reached his hand out to touch it, making scott recoil in shock, and maybe pain.

"woah."

scott pulled his shirt back down, "it was too dark to see much, but i'm pretty sure it was a wolf."

stiles face shifted from a look of disgust, to a look of flabbergasted-ness.

"a wolf bit you?" he asks, not believing scott.

"uh-huh." scott nods.

"no, not a chance." stiles says, gabriela humming in agreement.

"i heard a wolf howling." scott says, the three of them walking toward the school building.

"no you didn't" stiles says, earning a scoff from the boy with the bite.

"what do you mean 'no i didn't', how do you know what i did or did not hear?" he had a point to be fair.

stiles laughed, "because california doesn't have wolves, okay? not in like, 50 years."

"60. 60 years." gabriela corrected quietly.

"really?" scott asks, disbelief masking his features.

"yes, really! there are no wolves in california" stiles says

"i told you last night, scott." gabby adds.

"you told her before me?!" stiles pouts.

"oh shut up, you big baby," gabby puts a hand on his shoulder.

"alright, well if you don't believe me about the wolf, you're definitely not gonna believe me when i tell you i found the body." he smiles proudly.

"what!" gabriela exclaims as stiles jumps.

"oh he didn't tell you that? sorry gabs." he puts on a mock pout.

"fuck you, stiles."

"no thanks, gabby."

"uh hello? you guys still there?" scott asks the two.

"uh yeah, are you kidding though?" stiles asks.

"no, man i wish. i'm gonna have nightmares for a month." scott smiles slightly.

"oh god, that is freakin' awesome. i mean seriously this is gonna be the best thing that's happened to this town since..." he averts his gaze to the 'it' girl walking by, "since the birth of lydia martin. hey lydia, you look... like you're gonna ignore me." he says as she walks by, paying no mind to him.

"you're the cause of this you know." he tells scott.

"uh-huh."

"dragging me down to your nerd depths, i'm a nerd by association." the bell rings and the three walk inside, "i've been scarlet nerded by you." stiles finishes.

gabriela however was stopped by none other than the rich bitch himself, jackson whittemore. he stops her outside her classroom, leaning an arm on the walls, "party on friday, you coming?"

the girl gives him a sickeningly sweet smile, "go back to your girlfriend jackson." she says, referring to lydia. the two were coded for each other, the real life chuck bass and blair waldorf.

"wait," he grabs her arm, "please?"

his face no longer shows cockiness and arrogance, but genuine friendliness.

"i... i'll think about it." and she shakes her arm out of his grasp and walks into the room. the girl takes a seat in front of stiles and next to scott. the teacher begins writing on the blackboard.

"as you all know, there was indeed a body found in the woods last night," the teacher starts, stiles winking and scott, "and i'm sure your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre situations and scenarios as to what happened. but i am here to tell you that the police have a suspect in custody-"

gabriela turns around, looking at stiles wide-eyed, and then at scott, "-which means you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus which is on your desks, outlining the semester."

gabby picks up the set of papers, out of the corner of her eye, seeing scott jump, startled. he starts looking around the classroom frantically, she stops paying attention to him however when he calms down and looks out the windows. she looked back down to the syllabus, hearing the door to the classroom open. the principal walked in with a girl, she had dark curly hair, piercing hazelly-brown eyes, and defined cheekbones.

"class, this is our new student, allison argent. please do your best to make her feel welcome."

she took a seat behind scott, who turned around and handed a pen to her.

"we'll begin with kafka's metamorphosis on page 133." the teacher told the class.

gabby felt a piece of paper hit her head, she turned around and picked up the scrunched up note, "scotty's got a crush - stiles"

she flipped over the paper and wrote on it, "do we ship?" before leaning back to give it to stiles. she turned around to see his answer and he gave her an exaggerated nod.

"mr stilinski, miss cruz, i believe i said 'undivided attention' and the two of you look divided." the teacher called them out.

"sorry, sir" gabby said, meekly, stiles doing the same.

gabriela looked over towards scott, he had a goofy smile on his face, no doubt because of the new girl. she was happy for him.

the bell rang and a sea of students swarmed the hallways, eager to leave class, not so happy about going to another lesson. stiles and gabriela walked up to scott, stood by his locker, staring at allison once again. she was talking to lydia martin. all of a sudden, jackson whittemore swooped next to lydia, wrapping an arm around her waist. a girl who gabby recognised from class, but couldn't remember the name of, said, "can someone tell me how new girl is here all of five minutes and is already hanging out with lydia's clique?"

"because she's hot." stiles said matter-of-factly.

"are you talking about allison or lydia?" gabby teased him, making him flush with embarrassment.

"beautiful people herd together." stiles finished.

stiles began arguing with the girl, who's name was jenny, apparently, and all the while scott stared over at allison.

"you know they're not all that bad. lydia's friends i mean." gabriela told jenny and stiles.

"just because jackson has a huge crush on you huh?" stiles teased.

"what? no he doesn't and besides he's with lydia." gabby defended.

"oh, to be jackson whittemore." stiles whined.

oh, to be lydia martin.
