After the men finished eating, they took her to Faust’s laboratory.
“Docteur, why is there a dead body in here??”
“I didn’t quite finish dissecting it.”
Charles left as quickly as he came, having turned pale. Apparently, he did not like corpses at all. Lacrimă however was curious about the half-dissected body.
“Why did you dissect it in the first place?”
“It had a nice bone structure.”
Indeed, the bone structure was quite nice.
“May I help if you continue dissecting it?”
“If you’re not a nuisance”Vlad sat down on a wooden chair while Lacrimă and Faust kept standing. The body lying on the metal table did not trigger her bloodlust. His blood was simply too old. It would not be good for a vampire to consume it.
The doctor took out two bottles. “This is blanc. It’s supposed to repress the desire for blood”, Vlad explained. “Drink it.”
She obeyed, though she did not trust the blue-haired man. Still, she was immortal. No matter which poison he put in there, it would not be able to kill her.
“Tell me how this influences your thirst”, Faust opened a vial of blood.
The blanc did not affect her desire for blood even slightly. Before Faust could pull it back, the vampiress had ripped the glass out of his hand and gulped it down quickly.
“I shall be taking that as a ‘It doesn’t influence my thirst at all’”
“If Blanc doesn't work, then what will?” Vlad asked. Almost all hope had left his voice. The only thing he could do now was to help her on a psychic level. That however, did not work for a lot of vampires.
Faust simply smirked.
“I shall be taking that as a challenge.”
