I dislike it when girls stare so much, and Ann's colleagues had a knack for making me uncomfortable with their constant staring.Being an attractive young man in the 21st century is quite a challenge.
I barged in on her, scrutinizing some paperwork, dang!!!! she's a workaholic.
"Always busy girlie, all work and no play makes jack a dull boy"
"Aren't you jack" she quipped, looking up from her work, I let out a loud laugh.
"Ouch...that hurts, you use my words against me??
She flashed a sly grin. "How can the kettle call the pot black, when you're the one who works non-stop for 24 hours? Don't worry; we'll put an end to that."
"Come on you know that's not possible. I find solace in work; it fills me!!" emphasizing, on the last word for effect.
She rolled her eyes playfully and then, with a soft, inviting look on her face, she pouted like a child and opened her arms wide. "Come here".
My heart raced every time she did that with her doe eyes. I loved her deeply.
She enveloped me in a warm tight hug, the familiar scent of her cologne filling my entirety, wrapping her arms around me like some doting mother.
"Welcome buddy"she muttered, finally releasing me from her embrace.
I settled onto the sofa in the cozy office sitting area.
She joined me, offering two chilled orange juice packs, handing one to me before sitting down."Uhmm, I wanted to ask if you still need a replacement for Judy"
"Nahhh, they're enough" I took a mouthful of the juice, it felt refreshing, I only have one of these in times like this.
I was considering putting off a few of them for safety, but this one's seem okay, Judy betrayed my trust, and risked the safety of my household, though she was put under duress, I relieved her of her job not because I wanted to punish her but for her safety and mine as well.Getting a replacement would be unnecessary, so.....no was the answer
"I think you should"
I fired a look at her. "Why" came my brief question.
I avoided her gaze cause she was about to blackmail me emotionally. this girl would be the death of me, she never failed to use my weaknesses against me.
"I have a patient who suffers from emotional detachment and trauma, she needs such an environment for recovery" she told me with an unwavering stare, I wondered how I got involved in the matter .
"My aim is to get her mixed up with people whom she would spend time with for a long period of time"
'okay' I answered in my head.Seems she wasn't done
" to form connections and build relationships, it would help with building her self-esteem and social life"I didn't say a word, I just listened with all attentiveness, she wasn't expecting no for an answer though
The way she was batting her eyes at me as though she knew what my answer would be.
My consent, sometimes doesn't matter, It was objected for because of formality sake
"Does that require payments"I loathed her response.
"Yeah"she said with all seriousness.
I wasn't very satisfied, I had an inkling to know who she was, a day would be enough to do some background check and the rest.
"Alright"
"Really!! her voice screeching in-between the tiny shout ' thanks bro, I love ya' I was surprised that she was surprise, what was Ann really up to
