Y/n POV-

It's now October. And things have been going good. I was currently looking through the aisles of walmart getting our group costume. Waylon has been obsessed with Scooby Doo lately, so we're dressing up as them. Waylon is gonna be Scooby, Karen is gonna be Velma, Kenzie is Shaggy, Kenny is Fred, and I'm going as Daphine.

I let Karen and Kenzie choose what they wanted to be, but they wanted to do the big group costume thing.

"Hey Y/n. What's up?" Wendy asks from behind me.

"Nothing much just shopping." I say. Honestly I love Halloween, so I've slowly been collecting all sorts of Halloween things. My apartment is definitely the most decked out at the complex.

"Oh nice, Stan and I are going as Woody and Jessie, from toy story." She says.

"Nice your idea or Stans?" I ask even though I know the answer.

"Mine, if it was up to Stan he wouldn't dress up." She giggles.

"Haha yea." I say.

"Well there is a party on Halloween at Tolkien's place, if you wanna go." Wendy invites me.

"Thanks for inviting me, but it's my first day off in weeks, and I'd like to spend it with my kids, and I'm not a big party goer." I say starting to go to the check out lines.

"Well cant you get someone to watch them?"

"No, because I want to spend time with them." I say starting to get annoyed.

"Hmm whatever then." She storms off.

Weird. Oh well, it's the truth. Mr. Kim has had me work almost every day in September, and now in October to. I dont know why, like even Kenny hasnt been working this much. I buy the last things we needed for our costumes, and head home. It's currently one week to Halloween.

When I get home, Kenzie and Karen are over at Kenny's house, and Kenny had taken Waylon to the park. Home alone, with twenty minutes till work. I decided to get myself ready, and start dinner in the crockpot. Mississippi Roast with potatoes. I left a note saying:

Dinner is in the crockpot, I got the finishing touches of our costumes. See you after 8! xoxo

I'm starting to think about finding a new job. I'm no longer interning at the pediatric office, because of Mr. Kim. It's starting to feel like Mr. Kim is taking over my life, and that's not okay. Walmart is hiring for 17.50 an hour, and I'll get two days off and they work around school schedules. And insurance!

I get to work clock in, and continue the norm. This is seriously one of the most boring jobs ever.

"Y/n, I speak wit you now." Mr. Kim says.

"Yes sir." I follow him into the back.

"I wan you be manager, I leave you take my place here City Wok." He says.

"Mr. Kim, what do you mean you're leaving?" I ask.

"Oh Y/n, I retire. You take store, you responsible, you smart, why no?" He says. I'm very flattered that he wants me to run City Wok, but in order to do so successfully, I have to quit school. And I'm not doing that.

"Mr. Kim, I'm flattered, but I cant take your place. I need to finish school for me and my family." I explain.

"Y/n, you have here take of your family." He practically begs.

"I'm sorry sir but I cant."

"Fine, Y/n. You dont wan City Wok. No one can do it. We close. Store close for good, after Hallowreen." He says pointing me out of the room.
