Authors Note. I changed your baby daddy's name from Robert to Kole. Because I was starting to hate the name Robert. Sorry for the inconvenience, and if you read after I changed it no worries about it. Also I've been having technical issues so sorry for the late update!

Y/n POV-

It's almost Thanksgiving, its literally two days away. I'm getting excited to meet Kenny's and Karen's parents, I just hope that they're gonna accept me and my family.

I'm currently sitting in 6th period. We're almost done for the day. Kenny and I are leaving after 6th to go see Mr. Brovloski, about getting Kenny on Waylon's birth certificate. Where Kenny is 17 I don't know if he can, but where no one is listed in the father's side of it, maybe?

"Okay class. Projects absolutely have to be done by Christmas break. Have a good rest of your day." Mr. Fiedler says to the class as the bell rings.

I went to the front of the building to wait for Kenny. The girls are riding the bus over to Ike's house. Which is kind of funny cause we're going to see his dad, but at his office.

"Hey babe, you ready?" Kenny asks coming from behind me.

"Yes, let's go get our boy." I say smiling. I loved the fact that I can call him our boy. It melts my heart.

"Yes let's." He says holding the truck door open for me.

We picked up Waylon from daycare, and went to Mr. Brovloski's office. On our drive we sat in silence, but it wasn't awkward. We walked in and his secretary lead us to his office.

"Hello Kenny, Y/n, and little Waylon." Mr. Brovloski smiles.

"Hello sir." I say returning the smile.

"Hey." Kenny says, Waylon in his arms trying to hide. The three of sit down in front of his desk and listen to what he has to say.

"So here's the deal. Unfortunately Colorado law states that you cant legally adopt until you are at least eighteen years of age." He says with a little sorrow in his voice.

"That's bullshit. I should be able to take him as my own kid. His sperm donor isn't even on the birth certificate!" Kenny says angrily.

"I understand where you're coming from Kenny, but for right now you cant. When you turn eighteen we can come back to this. Y/n is his biological father in his life fully or has anything to do with him? He asks.

"Once he found out I was pregnant he didnt want anything to deal with him up until this last week or two." I explain looking at my baby boy coloring with pens and paper that Kyle's dad had given him.

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"Well he randomly asked to come and see him and be apart of his life. Which isn't like him." I say pulling out my phone to show him the texts.

"Hmmm..." he reads the texts, "Well with this being said. For right now, we can do custody and visitation rights, but like I said we cant go through the adoption process right this moment."

"Why do we need to that if he doesnt have parental rights to him?" Kenny asks.

"Well, he knows that this child is his. If he was to get a lawyer, he could go after custody and child support. Which is something we can also get from him as well if you'd like."

"Rodeo doesnt pay good, I don't want to put that on him." I say sheepishly.

"Well the courts will figure out the reasonable percentage, out of every check he makes. Child support isn't some money that you get to keep, it's to help accommodate the expenses the child has, and if you have custody of him, he should be paying you." He explains.
