Hello dearest readers and fellow writers,
There is a funny thing about writing, even as a hobbit, because despite everything, writing needs program, which is a struggle at holidays.
Trips, and visits from family all seem to be obstacles in writing. But it's on the leaning back and letting yourself relax that you find the magic in life.
At first it was torture. Everything in me was screaming for me to create something, my fingers were inching to write, my mind flowed with ideas. I didn't even have my laptop with.
With the acceptance that writing wouldn't be a possibility (sharing a bed with my sister wasn't an ideal circumstance for writing) I lead back, and let my self explore the world around me.
We forget as writers that all idea come from the places and the people around us, so in a way those holidays were the best thing I could ask for.
I saw places and heard music that feel like a product of my imagination, and met people that are definitely getting a place in my book. A special thanks to the unbelievably hot man that worked on the boat I travelled in, that is absolutely getting a character.
So take this as a reminder that writing needs its breaks from times to times. Remember that it's difficult imagining your own world and its people, you are aloud to relax.
"A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people.", Thomas Mann
